We have had a team of 2 great players surrounded by a bunch of scrubs for a long time. Us not winning is not...surprising.

The lakers had a team with 4 Hall of Fame players and didn't win a championship. The Knicks have been atrocious even though they have talented players and go beyond exceeding the salary cap. The Sonics are leaving Seatle. I could go on...just understand it could be much worse.

 

Being 1st seed in the Western Conference and being eliminated by the 8th seed....

Making it all the way to the NBA Finals, having a 2-0 lead, and then LOSE FOUR in a row?

Not resigning the best PG in the game because he was too old and then him going to a conference rival and win 2 MVPs? Then, you sign an even older PG and lose in the first round once again?

and steve francis wasnt even drafted by the rockets... he was drafted by vancouver and we traded crap to get him, and he became one of the best players in the league surrounded by really crappy players... Yao and Tmac arent disappointments at all... give me one full year of them playing all 82 games together and with a strong supporting cast and if they fail THEN they are a disappointment... eddie griffin...? yeah... ( R.I.P. )

the disappointment started right after our second championship imo. yes, right when rudy decided to make that barkley trade. why make a huge change before a title team starts to decline? it all went downhill after that. then it’s the sf3 era. bad contracts after bad contracts which handcuffed rudy himself and the coaches came after him; mediocre players after mediocre players until we snatched scola; senseless drafts after senseless drafts until we picked up brooks and landry last year (with yao, a no-brainer in between). i know rudy brought this city 2 rings, but it’s also rudy who started our disappointment. glad we just finally cleared out the last bad contract initiated from the rudy era.

"The most disapointing"... being a Rockets fan, I'm more disapointed in the Rockets losing than any other team. In that sense, sure! I agree.

But If we don't have a bias, then you're asking which team has sucked the worst in the last 8 years. That's gotta be someone like Atlanta or the Bulls. I couldn't be disapointed though for a team I don't care about.
