    Lincoln - 9.75/10

Incredible movie. Daniel Day-Lewis deserves best actor. He is one of the greatest actors of our generation, without a doubt.

    The Raid: Redemption 7/10

Great action flick. We need more movies like this. But I have no desire to re-watch it so it's a 7.

    Pulp Fiction: 8.5/10

My first time re-watching it in maybe 10 years. A classic but some parts really dragged for me. Definitely not as high on it as the initial time I saw it when it was really groundbreaking and would've scored it 10/10.

Silver Linings Playbook- 7/10. I guess the acting in this carries the film. I felt it was just like any other romantic comedy/drama in terms of storyline. But the acting all around was good. If you want any major awards, looks like Harvey Weinstein is the way to go.

    I know right?

Only scene that I could MAYBE think of that "dragged" a bit was Bruce Willis and his french girlfriend at the hotel. But other than that, just about everything was fantastic.

    Hamburgers Scene - Fantastic
Travolta and Uma Thurman at the Restaurant - Fantastic
Bruce Willis and Marcellus Wallace and the Gimp Scene - Fantastic
Ending Diner Scene - One of the best of all time.

    Argo 10/10

Excellent film. One of Ben Affleck's best pictures, and he directed it which speaks volumes. Great cast. This was probably as close as you can possibly get to the true story. One of the best I've seen in a long time.

Seriously, go watch this movie. Its fantastic. I mean, it certainly isn't perfect, but type of movie I'll be quoting for a while and recommending to everyone I see. Its on Netflix Instant.

    Compliance - 7/10

Strange movie. It's the one about the prank call to a fast food restaurant where a person pretends to be a police officer and ends up sexually harassing the employees over the phone. Pretty disturbing at times, and really pretty interesting based on the fact that it's a true story. It was kind of hard to buy into at times because the situations got way too ridiculous, even though I guess it all truly happened. Pretty cool/strange/interesting movie that I'd recommend watching.

It was also a Law & Order SVU episode with Robin Williams and Scott Adsit from 30 Rock. Like 8 years ago.

    Les Miserables - 5/10 Meh.

The only single word for this is 'interminable'. It just goes on. And on. And on.. and then it goes on a lot longer, and then it keeps on going on, and then it reaches the halfway point, and oh my God there's more...

    Ugh.

By the end it was starting to get funny, because of the really hammy singing by Eddie Redmayne mostly.

I had never seen Les Miz on stage, and now I know why.

One of the very few movies I actually seriously considered walking out in the middle.

Not because it was *bad* per se, but because there just appeared to be no ending in sight.

They seriously could have (and SHOULD have) chopped an hour out of that film.

On top of that, the story.. of course I had heard the story for years, it was a big novel by Victor Hugo after all.. but how incredibly petty it all was. Just.. petty and callous.

I cannot imagine anyone sitting through it twice.

You do know that much in the movie didn't actually happen.

There was no one chasing the plane down the runway.

They didn't actually ever need to use the movie to get them out of the country.

All they needed were Canadian papers.

They also got lucky the guys at the airport never looked for the white copy. Apparently they knew they never look.

They could have left without the whole movie plot.

    Zero Dark Thirty 8/10

Not an action movie so if you're looking for Diehard, you're going to be disappointed. This is a process movie for a 10 year period...like Law & Order feel with the action that we already know in the end.

My only quibble is that while James Gandolfini acted fine as Leon Panetta, I can never think of anything other than Tony Soprano whenever I see him on screen.
