McHale doesn't belong in the same discussion as RA and JVG.

He doesn't belong in the same discussion as Vinny Del Negro, either.

Adelman hands down. If Yao is healthy that 09 team at least gets to the WCF.

I was ok with McHale up until this recent stretch of games. His man crush with Pat and other pathetic sub patterns/decisions have turned my off.

    1. JVG
    2. Adelman

    3. McHale (other coaches were not apart of a pathetic collapse like this).

Adelman actually had command of his team, could draw up and practice sets the players learned and won with the talent he had.

JVG was a great defensive coach but couldnt coach half court basketball to save his life.

Mchale is like a confused teenager on prom night. Nervous, inexperienced and always fumbling his way along. Sometimes it works. Usually it doesn't.

I agree with your order, but Van Gundy would have won tonight. Denver wouldn't have lived in our paint. No way.

I love JVG, but Utah beat us by pulling Yao out of the paint on defense with Okur.

Even JVG can't stop that. And Gallinari would have pulled Dalembert out of the lane. That is the whole reason why George Karl benched Faried and JaVale...to get our one-dimensional fly swatter out of the game.

Plus, Karl goes with that line up all the time...they are very well practiced playing Lawson, Miller, Harrington and Gallinari.

No other recent "coaches" that I see

    Yao was guarding Boozer.

uh, no he wasn't. At least not when Okur was in the game. Certainly not in the pivotal 4th period, which is what I was responding to.

    so sad :(

Adelman was as boneheaded as McHale his last two years here. We lost countless games because of his stubbornness
