My 4 team trade idea.. Orlando-Memphis-Utah and HOUSTON Magic trade Dwight, J.Rich(s&t $8M+) and Duhon for Gay, Martin, Millsap and Minny's 2nd pick Grizzlies trade Gay and Mayo for JRich,Hayes,Morris and NY's 1st pick Jazz trade Millsap for Mayo and Duhon Rockets trade Martin, Hayes(s&t $3M+), Morris, NY's 1st pick and Minny's 2nd pick for DWIGHT HOWARD
Good trade for 4 teams: Magic getting 3 great scorers plus a bonus 2nd pick by giving up for a superstar and a backup point (Jrich is not counted because he's unrestricted FA) and sign Vasquez he'll be the starting center of this team (happy now Mr. Vasquez).. Grizzlies want to resign Marc Gasol without overpaying the luxury tax, Gay's $15M and Mayo's $5.6M contract worth $20M+ by trading away for Jrich $8M, Hayes $3M, and Morris $1M= $12M+ (saves $8M) They can now sign Gasol for $10M without overpaying the luxury tax plus they survive the 1st rd playoffs without Gay and they can resign Battier for MLE.. Jazz get a starting SG w/ potential to be an all-star and a backup PG, Im sure they'll miss Millsap for being a 1yr team's lead scorer but it will help Mayo,Favors and even Kanter to develop and to score more.. Rockets gets a new franchise player DWIGHT HOWARD w/ 4 yrs contract extension(new CBA rules) for only Martin and 3 picks(Hayes is not counted,3 picks = Morris,NY 1st pick and Min 2nd pick).. HOUSTON is a big market, Howard can recruit Paul,Williams or Nash and some players w/out any problem because most of our players are team option contract (only Scola, Lowry and Howard are guaranteed =$33M) Howard/Thabeet Scola/Patterson/Hill Budinger/Williams Lee/Dragic Lowry/Flynn Chances for Lee to be a starter, Budinger to be 15+ scorer, Williams,Hill and Thabeet for playing time
If ESPN's scoures are correct and the Bucks indeed and up using the amnesty clause on Beno Udrih, instead of Drew Gooden, how about doing a three team trade centered around this: Rockets trade: Scola, Flynn, Thabeet Receive: Igoudala Bucks trade: 2 first rounders (lottery protected), Dooling Receive: Scola, Flynn Sixers trade: Igoudala Receive: Thabeet, 2 first rounders (lottery protected), Dooling Send Larry Sanders or one of Hill & T-Will to the Sixers and call it a day.
I want to test drive Thabeet, he worked out with David Thorpe and his agent says the light bulb went on..... A 7'3" athletic Center would be a major boost to this team, even if it is only a 20 watt bulb. DD
The sixers would say no to this. They can get more for AI than that. Although I do like the idea of getting AI on the rockets somehow
You might be right, but where there's a will, there's a way. It might be overpaying, but I wouldn't hesistate to add both T-Will and Hill to the trade I proposed, as I don't think highly of Hill, and T-Will, while talented, I couldn't ever see reach his potential with Igoudala, Martin, Lee & Budinger already on the team. Also, by trading all those guys, there's a good chance you'd have enough cap space to sign Nene AND re-sign Chuck. Two first rounders, Thabeet, Hill, T-Will & maybe Sanders is a pretty decent package for Iggy, don't you think? Nene VetMin (e.g. Kurt Thomas) Patterson Hayes Igoudala Budinger Martin Lee Lowry Dragic That's a pretty damn good team.
Thabeet just isn't an NBA player in my opinion. If he doesn't have it by year 3, don't think he ever will. While keeping him is no big deal, if you can land Iggy, I think he is very expendable.
We should definitely keep Thabeet for this year.... We have to see.... I have long been a proponent of getting Iggy. I think that you keep Scola in a scenario where you get Andre though. His best strength on offense is not scoring but more creating and I think Lowry/Martin/Iguadola/Scola is a nice four man group. Need a center after that though.
Just late enough for him to land on the Rockets and start going off. You have to at least keep him around one full season to see what he can do.

Philly has been losing a lot of money for a long while now. New owners and new direction, usually go hand in hand, ie a franchise restart with younger players. Conveniently a future looking roster helps keep the payroll down. If Morris and Patterson are the same type of player one of them will get traded eventually.
Again, Motiejunas is not a center, nor will he contribute meaningful minutes any time soon. I agree that the Sixers wouldn't do that trade, nor would the Rockets do the Bulls trade. Don't think Patterson and Morris are the same type of player at all. I've warmed up quite a bit to the idea of trading for Igoudala though.
If they could work out a deal to get Spencer Hawes and Iggy, without giving up much then I think you have a deal. However, with the progress Philly made last year, I do not think they give up Iggy on the cheap and have high value for Hawes as well. Philly will be a tough team to trade with IMO. They are buyers not sellers.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7bea7on Lowry/TWill/Flynn Martin/Lee Morris/Budinger/Blakely Smith/Scola/Parsons Thabeet/Motiejunas/Cousin Add Howard to this mix when free agency comes around and we got dynasty!
Why do you have a rookie who's biggest question mark is if he is a 3 or 4 starting over your veteran player in Budinger?
