Looking at the weather channel....chance of rain goes to 80% by 11 am tomorrow then stays at that or higher through 5 PM.....whats the chance we get this in??

And why the hell are we playing opening day in NY in the first place, we have a better early April climate and a stadium with a roof, and yet we are going to the northeast to an open air stadium?

    Stupid

I doubt they give a sh** where teams open up, but they need wait until after the play-offs to release the schedule. Frankly, I think it's embarrassing forcing the Mets to sit through that ceremony.

This messes with Keuchel's rest days for his next start and the next. He won't pitch vs KC now.

Better for a #4 or #5 to have his schedule messed with.

I doubt he was going to pitch that game anyways. I don't think they were going to skip somebody in the rotation. Same situation existed last year, and they chose not to skip Roberto Hernandez.

Why couldn't they put the game at night tomorrow? I get that today's game was at noon for TV reasons, but why not put tomorrow in primetime?

I'm not quite sure either, unless it's also because of the NCAA Women's Championship.

This is a good thing. Normally, the Royals would have drawn Fiers for the opening home game, but now they'll get McHugh, Fiers, etc.

Is the game still going to be broadcasted on ESPN? Not having Root Sports is such a hassle
