YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT CHANGING THE BATTING ORDER FOR THE FIRST 4 PLAYERS.

IF YOU DO NOT DELETE YOUR POST, YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ERASED.

    COMPLIANCE IS NOT OPTIONAL.

The only reason you change somebodies spot in the batting order is if they are hitting too low and you need to move them up. Otherwise there's just no real reason to do so when it's working. Obviously if we knew Bregman was gonna go on this HR rampage it would have been better to have him not behind the slumping Springer, but you can't predict when these things are gonna happen, nor when they will stop.

This time next month Bregman could be in a slump and Springer or Correa could be on a tear. Bregman won't keep hitting HR's like he's Mark McGwire, and Altuve is consistently excellent.

The only truly important part of lineup building is that you have your best hitters all at the top, the actual order they hit in isn't as important as poeple think unless one guy is clearly an OBP player and the other is clearly a SLG player, which none of our top 4 are.

That statement was a guess. Seems fitting to have spoken on everything stated.

Great game today. Go Stros !!

I certainly wouldn't jack with the top 5 (CC/Yuli being 4/5). I just wish at least one of them hit LH.

Bregman has been incredibly successful batting second. Altuve has been incredibly successful batting third. The team has been very successful with their top 5 being relatively stable (when Correa is healthy) and mixing and matching 6-9. Why change?

One on pace for about 120 RBI?

Yea surely we could find a utility type to take that spot and relieve Marwin some too

I'm a solid under on the 120 RBIs.

Gattis is on pace for 104 based on 63 RBI with 98 games played.

The 2-hole is the second most important spot in the lineup (behind cleanup). They get the second most at-bats out of anyone (behind leadoff) but come up in more important situations.

There is a zero percent chance I would move Bregman from that spot.

There could be a case made for flipping yuli and correa based on this season's results...we will have to see how correa does when he gets back

Good thing I don’t teach math

Let’s cut him, I’m sure no one would even pick him up. Bet he could get to 120 rbi at Fresno huh

The thing about Gattis is that he is so streaky, he could end the season with as few as 80 RBI, or get 110. While even the low number doesn't look terrible on the surface, we are gearing for the playoff run. If he is hot in October, then he could compete for a series mvp. If he is cold, he could seriously hinder our repeat desires.

Hope he's healthy soon and regains .900 OPS. Postgame said he'd play minor league games before returning.

I think the plan is for him to play a few minor league games during the break and be ready to go next weekend

Not bad. Hope he's healthy and regains a form similar to last season.

Yeah...there were at least a couple that were completely in the box with room to spare.
