Washington (correctly) fires Wittman because he can't scheme his way out of a paper bag, offensively, and they hire Scott Brooks? Wow. They're on the fast track to...exactly where they were a week ago.

At least he's not going to be the Rockets coach. Now the Rockets can let Bickerstaff go and hire...Wittman.

McHale didn't want Harden to ISO so much, just couldn't get him to follow the game plan, but Brooks's drawn plays are ISOs.

yeah, i would've loved to have heard those negotiations.

well, scotty we're looking for a new coach and would really like to know what that coach is going to run on offense and defense to maximize our backcourt talent before we make an offer?

did i mention i was kevin durant's coach?

so 5 yrs, 35 million sound good?

that doesn't sound like how much i coached him.

    5 yrs, 40 million?

    kevin durant.

    5 yrs, 45 million?

    kd

    5 yrs, 50 million?

that almost sounds like about how much i was his coach.

you know what, **** it, we're not signing kd anyway, we'll just go get someone who knows what they're doing.

woah woah woah, that last one was a joke. i'll take the 50 million.

    it's back to 35 now.

    i'll take it!

    Only a dozen?

Shoot...we could hire half the dudes on Clutchfans and we'd get better coaching.

If Brooks or Thibs really wanted to come to Houston they could have waited another five or six days. I guess they weren't that interested in Houston. However, I do understand. The Rockets have Harden but not much else.

If the Rockets do hire JVG, I'm sure Morey will say he was our first choice all along.

I already know the perfect test to see if they qualify.

"Down by 3 points, 4 seconds left to go. Do you take Dwight off the floor and insert another shooter or do you leave him in to set screens?"

He did none of that. I was there and Scotty 'Straight Bidness' Brooks never even opened his mouth for negotiations.

All he did was slide over a napkin with the letters KD on it.
DC slid over a 5yr/25mil contract and a pen.
Scotty looked at it and reached for the napkin with the letters KD on it to put back in his pocket.
DC in a frantic hurry, rescinded the first contract and pulled out the 5/35 contract.
Scotty looked at it, smirked and finally said, "You pull that **** again, Im taking KD to Houston."

Good for DC's youth movement and attempt to steal Easy Money Sniper.

But...thank you Jesus that he is off of the market. My only fear now is Luke, but I think he'll stay in GS awhile. I have no idea if the Rocks would be interested, but that's not the type of "contender" coach I have in mind for James/Insert Big Name 1-3/Insert Big Name 4-5 for the next couple of seasons.

I hear Dennis Rodman wants to coach...:p

We are running out of options, we can thank Morey for it.

Morey: "We got ourselves another darkhorse coach with top coaching potential.... bla bla bla"

Thank you, Morey and your top notch PR

Thank God, Scotty Brooks in OKC was pure isoball, and a coach who couldn't win with Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and Harden... yeah had like 0 interest in seeing what he could do with just Harden and Durant.

He was also a big believer in Jeff Green and Kendrick Perkins.
