As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the gamecast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else. 5-13 Dillon Gee, RHP vs. Bud Norris, RHP 7:05 on FSH 5-14 R.A. Dickey, RHP vs. J.A. no outs, carlos lee running, and a sharp base hit to shallow left field. it's quite possible that we will never in our lifetimes see a base coach make a worse decision.
That Lopez right? I love Lopez as much as the next guy, and I too wanted him in the same situation, but that shows right there that no one in our bullpen aside from Mel (and what was Fulchino) is showing any signs of being consistent.
I'm at the game right now and someone just ran from first to tal's hill and over the green thing in center.
They described what was going on, but did not show the guy running around on tv. Pretty disappointing. When they did finally show him, you could barely see him climbing the green thing and up onto Home Run Alley as they only showed the picture from the camera behind home plate. While he was running around... closeup on the pitcher pacing. Thanks Fox.
Not sure if you know this or not...but this is policy in all of the major sports. These jackholes are trying to get attention...so the media covering the event deliberately do not give it to them. They will talk about the person...but will never show him/her.
I didn't, though I guess the reasoning makes sense. I remembered this video: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=613993n of the streaker (video is censored) from 2004 which was why I was surprised watching tonight. Is the policy new since then? Was thinking I had originally seen the above on tv, but after your comments realized I didn't see it until after the fact on the internet. Also seem to remember them showing Bill Spiers getting jumped in Milwaukee in 1999 shown, here: <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZE4QPs9-Oqo" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="560"></iframe>
the policy doesn't dissuade them obviously. it's annoying as hell. the last 2 times i've seen (heard) this happening during a telecast at MMP, the announcers, players, and fans were all in stitches. no need to punish the home audience. we want in on the joke too.
