If the Texans are smart, they make sure to have safety help over the top every single play. That's the ONLY way you can hope to slow down TY Hilton who is too fast for ANY of our corners.
Bracket Hilton with JJo and Reid, let Mathieu stick with Ebron, pray your other DBs can stay on an island with their WRs, and pull out every trick you know on the D Line to try and get to Luck.
He's thrown for a piddling 863 yards in the 2 games against us, the secondary has to be really confident coming into this game.
Hilton should be blatantly doubled at all times. It’s inexcusable that he burns us for like 200 yards every game.
Any chance a "bring the house" blitz would work? Risky, but you just can't let Luck sit on a chair back there and pick his target.
for the most part that has been their game plan all along but our safeties tend to bite on play action. play action always works that's why i like it so much . I go into this game telling the Dbs to let the front seven worry about the colts running game that's why they get straight cash, homies. If mack breaks a 10 yrd gain so be it. At all costs do not bite. That's all easier said than done.
I wouldn't use JJo. He is smart and the best but way too slow at this point. I would use Kareem and Reid. Reid is going to go after the ball and if he misses Kareem will be there for the tackle. Put Hal on Ebron and Mathieu (or CunningCole) on Hynes in passing downs.
Very little chance. Luck is highly mobile and a very smart QB. If you "bring the house" you are leaving a LOT of people open and he's very likely to find one of them for a big gain.
If we don't get pressure with the front 4 or 5 we're ****ed. Luck will shred this secondary if we let him.
Agreed 100%, we need Clowney, Watt and Mercilus to earn their paychecks in this one. We need pressure when not blitzing.
The Athletic's Jay Glazer envisions the Jaguars "blowing up that roster" this offseason. The Jaguars have decided to keep EVP Tom Coughlin, GM Dave Caldwell, and coach Doug Marrone in place, but a handful of assistants have already been let go, and OC Nathaniel Hackett was fired during the season. There's going to be change from the top down in Jacksonville. Coughlin laid into Leonard Fournette after the Week 17 game, and Fournette is starting to look like a lost cause for the Jaguars. He can't stay healthy and has a bad attitude in Coughlin's eyes. It would not be a shock to see him dealt. And Fournette likely won't be the only one sent packing.
I wonder what it would take to get Ramsay. this year's first and next year's third plus severed head to be named later? Stating the obvious but Jalen would look great in a Houston uni.
