I'm glad the demotion made Fiers more focused... Has the look of somebody who knows anything near the zone will be crushed. I also don't see how he'd survive the bullpen.
This was a pencilled in loss when Fiers was given the start. Unacceptable that a team this good has to have a pencilled in loss every time through the rotation.
I think he starts tomorrow with Musgrove missing a start. Keuchel, McCullers, McHugh (when he returns), Morton are all pretty much set in the rotation. Astros probably pull a deal for another frontline type starter. So basically Musgrove, Fiers, Peacock, Paulino, Devo, Feliz, Hoyt, Martes (a possibility) are all great options to compete for bullpen spots with Harris and Giles. Luhnow needs to unload one or two of Gregerson, Fiers, maybe Sipp if Tolliver stays as good in whatever deal
