Interesting. Another thread. Do you guys know when the voting takes place? Did 18 reveal because it is already done?
Ballots are due this Friday. Voters can reveal their picks at their discretion, but the NBA doesn't officially unveil the results until their award show on June 26.
Alright. I think if 50% or more reveal their 1st ballot picks it would be a win. This MVP talk should not take another 2 months. That is flatout torture.
Matt Moore from CBS (Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball on twitter) has announced his vote--he has Harden for MVP. His ballot is as follows: 1. Harden 2. Westbrook 3. Kawhi 4. LeBron
First it was Brexit, then it was POTUS, now it's MVP. Somebody needs to get Putin on the line and offer him up all of Mission Control's secrets in exchange for a little Russian "persuasion" on some of these voters!
Added 3 more votes, 2 for Westbrook and 1 for Harden...almost a quarter of the votes are in and it's looking like Westbrook will win.
Those second place votes are keeping him in it, just like we all speculated. Just need a good run of votes with Westbrook @4 and James can pull even
I do wonder if most of the Westbrook voters already revealed their ballot because of the hype and in the moment, and more voters who have Harden are keeping it a secret for the next two months before all votes are public, so to not be ridiculed....or perhaps there is still a lot of undecided voters who are still thinking: I would think this would favor Harden and Leonard because if you're able to get over Westbrooks triple doubles, you probably are smart enough to pick a player who has more wins etc.
Sam, I was doing the same thing in the huge Harden MVP thread, but yours is better organized. Can you CONFIRM all of those names ARE "official MVP voters?" Like I didn't think Golliver was a voter for example.
phenomenal! great work! I just want to make sure we are keeping track of OFFICIALS because at the end of the season any tom, dick and harry can throw together a MVP column
