I thought this was an interesting piece. Right now, a large portion of the donor group can't find a candidate they believe in and are beginning to wonder if another candidate (Clinton, Bloomberg, M.Obama) will jump in.

Conservatives already wanting the Dems to elect a moderate over progressives so they can bash the DNC again?

    Not surprising.

Are you excited about the current crop? Which one can be the orange mound?

Corrupt? I don't see how Warren or Bernie would fit that description. I'm sure you ideolgically oppose their policies but I don't see the "corrupt" part.

Biden on the other hand has his fair share of pay to play dealings like any other typical long term status quo establishment candidate. Still not at the level of Trump's open disregard for the constitution.

Bring in Obama. My $$ is on Trump. It will be an embarrassment in Debates. Another landslide.

    He said "Current" Not "Corrupt".

Which of the Current candidates can beat Dumpster ?

I have my doubts on any of them winning the electoral votes necessary.

I'm a minority independent and have been thinking the same thing this article talks about - I'm NOT gonna vote for a far left candidate , I'll write in Mickey Mouse and call it a day. Nominate Kamala and I'll vote for Dumpster - suppressing evidence keeping a man you know to be innocent on death row is the lowest of the low.

Find me a moderate and I'll consider giving them my vote. Of the current group , I'd consider Buttigieg , Klobuchar and Biden - they aren't trying to out left the self described socialist. Warren or Bernie - I write in Mickey Mouse.

If you guys want to cater only to the fringes …. go for it.

All of the top 8 or so, except Yang and maybe Sanders. But anyone else down to the Klobuchar/Booker tier could do it.

That's cool. We disagree. But in case one of them do become president, I just want to comfort you and let you know they are not going to erase the capitalist system. Private property will exist. Well just look more like our neighbors to the north. I personally don't consider that "fringe" but the last 50 years of fear mongering has brainwashed entire generations of Americans.

As usual the issue is the economy. We have several threads that are predicting a downturn but we have a year left to election and the economy is stable

If the economy remains stable it will take a star to flip the votes that are possible to be flipped. On the economy, Trump maybe a disaster on tariffs for instance but that has only affected a few people.

head to head polling against trump rarely include Yang. In the only one I have seen, and it’s for a single state, Yang outperform all dem except Biden against trump. We just don’t have data to said anything much.

@Major are you saying you think it will be Biden winning with either Abrams or Klobuchar as his VP? Or you think it will be either Biden with Abrams OR Klobuchar with her own VP?

This is the thinking that elected the dip$hit in the first place. It wasn't his base that elected him, it was the people who did not vote or threw their vote away in protest. Don't make this mistake again.
