San Diego, Buffalo, Milwaukee, Portland, SLC, Sacramento, Charlotte, Orlando, Cincinnati, Minneapolis-St.Paul, San Jose and DC all have longer championship droughts than Houston. Also Ottawa, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton do as well.

Jacksonville and Atlanta's droughts are as long as Houston's.

Minny and DC are the only ones with at least 3 teams in the big four.

I think you can really only include cities with at least 2 or 3 teams in the big four. I mean if a city just has one team then obviously the chance they win goes way down.

    Cities with one franchise... eh.

Also, Milwaukee is basically the Packers.

And does San Jose get to claim the 49ers now that the stadium is in their backyard?

Atlanta, and D.C immediately come to mind. Phoenix hasn't won much, although a little more recently than us.

Then you have Milwaukee, Cincinnati, San Diego, Charlotte.

So no, while our situation has sucked, we are merely in a group, not out in Cleveland territory.

And I guess the AFL didn't count? Cuz San Diego won in 1963 which makes their drought longer than Cleveland's.

Long story short, things could definitely be worse in Houston.

That's basically exactly what I said does that 01 title feel so much fresher than our 95 title?

If we insist on going by factual drought, than DC and Minneapolis have longer ones than us, and they are in all 4 sports.

Longest multi-team sports drought has Buffalo and San Diego tied @ 1970 (46 years).

After that things dip severely into the 20s with Washington DC, Cinci, Minnesota, Houston, Toronto, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc.

So, essentially, we're in the second tier of "it sucks to be a sports fan here".

We're biding our time for that surprise championship, but now is not the right time. We need to go a bit longer with our drought to make that historical run. Le$lie is a genius!

    So... multi-sport city misery index.

    Tier 1: Buffalo, San Diego

Tier 2: DC, Cinci, Minneapolis, Houston, Toronto, Atlanta

Tier 3: Phoenix, Tampa Bay, Nashville

Edit: Removing Charlotte because the Hurricanes won an NHL title in 05-06.

As much as I despise Ohio sports....I was happy to see them win, better them than Oakland.
