Anybody over 15 should knows Kobe a better player. At this stage in his career for him to be the best says a lot about his dedication.

Yep, despite him being passed his "Athletic Prime", IMO he's even a better player at this point just because of his new refined skills (look @ last year improving post game w/ Dream, always working hard, and that killer drive to win.

LBJ may be the best athlete and a freak-of-nature, but overall as a player: Kobe Bryant.

    kwame brown (enough said) WIZ
Rip hamiliton for J Stackhouse WIZ

Adam Morrision...Aldridge, Roy, Gay were all on the board
B Wright traded J Rich.....Noah was drafted next
Augustin (had felton) over Brooke Lopez when you needed a Big
G Henderson - i actually think he can be serviceable

    Possible lineup for CHAR

    C: Okafor
    PF:Lopez/Aldridge
    SF:wallace
    SG:Roy/Gay
    PG: Felton
also drafted J Dudly over Brooks

Rox only had 1 lotto pick throughout Morey tenure

    BattiGay trade
    P Patterson
    AB, Landry, CBud
    Dorsey (failed), J Taylor-WIP
***Fixing Carroll Dawson mess with bad contracts leftover and setting team with assets and flexiblity....
Have not signed Superstar FA (has to do with the city of houston compared to LA, Miami, Chi, NY) not really his fault

Morey is one of the top GMs....Riley got lucky bc he has South Beach and Wade was able to bring James and Bosh (planned) but unfair bc wade had an inside track on those guys.....Got Shaq few yrs back bc Shaq wanted to go there.....Riley as a coach...great...

This has been posted before. This is not the first time Jordan has been wrong when evaluating players.

I did get a laugh though out of the guy who yelled "Adam Morrison" right after MJ repeated the question.

Just wanted to added.....Dumar is better then MJ as GM, but he should have been fired for drafting Darko over Melo, Wade, Bosh.....I know you had RIP and Prince, but you dont leave talent like that on the board....

He got R Wallace bc he was a headcase in PTL and ATL and his stock was dirt cheap

MJ can't evaluate raw talents, but compare established stars? It's not that difficult, is it?

I wish they'd ask him different questions....what team would he like to play for the most right now? Things like that. Questions more about him and not others. Pretty much anything he says about other players can be guessed ahead of time.

yea, kobe is the best/most skilled, lebron is the most athletic on the court, after the rule changes, it supports the latter, but can't go wrong with either one, i'd rather have kobe on my team than lebron though...

yea nonetheless, I'd like to see Mj's opinion on other questions too like the post above

also all those guys citing kwame, morrisson,
Kwame was 18, 6'11, nba ready body....if Mj did not pick him first, he would've gone top 3. , any gm that year would've picked him with the no 1 or 2 pick, its just the way it goes, you can't pass on that sort of raw potential, hwne the other option qould be the paul gasol a euro big man who is twig skinny, yea we know how it pans out, but when its a guessing game like the draft, you choose kwame....

morrisson is another guy who would've been top 7 regardless if MJ took him, its just the nature of the game somtimes it doesn't pan out, but to say MJ doesnt have hoops knowledge and can't evaluate... thats simplifying something not meant to simplify

This is the same MJ that desperately wanted the Bulls to sign a washed up Walter Davis in the pre-championship Bulls days.

Aside from midrange shooting, name one skill that Kobe has more developed than Lebron. They're just about equal as three-point shooters. Lebron is a far superior finisher at the rim. Lebron is an equal or superior ball handler. Lebron has far superior court vision and passing ability, not to mention that he's actually willing to show trust in his teammates.

arguably the greatest evaluator of talent, jerry west, and he believes lebron is better than kobe.

i think james' decision turned off a lot of people and make them say kobe.

edit: and we all know how much west adores kobe b/c he drafted him

Kobe can post up, can run without the ball and C&S, can shut down players from 1-3. Can hit game winners without 5 steps layup. And doesn't travel in a spin move. Just a few things LeBron couldn't.

kobe is better than lebron in 2 things: mid-range J + post up game. nobody can argue that. those 2 aspects are things lebron can do, and can get better in. he's also a better "winner" now b/c he has 5 rings and nobody can dispute that either.

defense, lebron is a better defender than kobe. i think even you have to concede that. he shut down paul pierce with zero help.

and game winners - lebron is at the top

    http://www.82games.com/gamewinningshots.htm

but overall, lebron is a better player if you consider what he does for a team, and how he does it over an 82 game season.

he doesn't have as many bad/mediocre games as kobe throughout a season or playoffs. you can count his # of bad games on one hand basically. kobe has bad MONTHS and playoff series.

again, lebron's decision and how he went about it turned people off. but again, lebron will have to reprove his greatness when the season starts and we will see if he has taken his game to another level.

LeBron is a good help defender and got some highlight, he's not even close to Kobe as a man defender. Kobe shut down Rondo and wore out Allen at the same time. Talk to me when LeBron can do that.

And Kobe hit 6 game winners in 2009-10 regular season, he hit a lot of them before 2003. As a matter of fact, it's easier to hit game winners in good team. Your reference obviously didn't include those.

You are entitled to your opinion. But who cares about your opinion? Even the LeBron asskiss BSPN would change their tone after playoff.
