There was no rain -- only tears from God for these fallen soldiers.

Trump doesn't know how to use umbrellas and there aren't enough umbrellas for Melania.

Trump has played golf in the rain,
[IMG], but doesn't care enough to pay respect to the fallen soldiers

If a tree falls in a forest and there's nobody around to hear it does it make a sound?

The Donald could take a dump on the tomb of the unknown soldier and "his people" would barely notice. And when people elsewhere get upset, the same people will write them off as "butthurt libtard Eurotrash".

As a country, to quote Bill Parcells, we are what our record says we are.

Pretending to care about the troops only to attack Trump is more disrespectful

I'm going to bet your knowledge about the first world war could be summed up in about 1 sentence. I'm sure you watched Flyboys on Netflix or something and can now give us a detailed history of the conflict from start to finish.

So go f**k yourself for pretending to care about the troops or WWI so that you can attack someone on behalf of Trump. Your offensive was about as effective as the Schlieffen Plan was for ending the war quickly.

Ironically, those millions of soldiers died fighting against nationalism - the very center of what Trump stands for. So it's fitting that he didn't visit the graves of soldiers who gave their lives to fight against everything he is.

You do realize that the draft was in effect during WWI, right? The soldiers were a random selection of American males age 21-30? Given Trump's approval rating in that general age group, I guarantee you shouldn't be making guarantees. It would be well less than 50% that supported him.

Intent is important. One thing we know about Trump is that he is not protesting our soldiers or doing anything in an attempt to be disrespectful.

I agree with RocketsLegend, it’s just pathetic to use an event like this as an opportunity to bash Trump or push an agenda.

Not to distract from the main debate here, but isn't the courage of youth amazing? There is a reason why beyond physical prowress that militaries primarily have the young out front in combat.

Do you really think 21-30 year old American males during the WWI era would agree the current political leanings of today’s average 21-30 year old American males? I think your living in a fantasy

Do you really think those soldiers would stand by today's liberal agenda?

Might want to take a look at Woodrow Wilson's campaign plaforms. Anti-war, commie ideas like an 8 hour work day, and elimination of tariffs, which directly apply to Trump. Top tax rate of 77% at that time, too.

You guys apparently have no idea how popular socialism and communism and wierd stuff like technocracy started to become after the Great War. Labor unions were huge and supported by members. Ever hear of the Red Scare? People thought a communist revolution was imminent.

I mean, I'm sure things like Trumps overt racism would be popular, and he could really expand on that... they'd love to hate the queers, too. But in terms of the modern Fox News style obsession with capitalism as pseudo-religion? Very much a modern idea. Nobody to smugly claim that communism had been defeated, becsuse it hadn't been. These were the same people who'd be supporting the New Deal in 20 years, that every conservative today loves to hate.

Got it so do you think Kaepernick was being unfairly criticized by Americans even though his intent was never to disrespect the troops? He even consulted with a veteran before kneeling.

This is the dumbest thing I've read all week. you truly don't know what being in the armed forces is. It's not about 'liberals' or "republicans" for them.
