since it's reset, looks like the other team got a kickoff and it's a touchback and we're at the 20 yard line

Marks refers to the Ryan Anderson contract as toxic. Lolz thanks for sucking in the playoffs RA.

Yes. He knows he'll be dead before GSW relinquish the crown.

Ya he probably got a bad medicalreport, and once to spend his last days knowing he brought paul to houston. Have a healthy last remaining of his life without crazy Rocket fans(you know who your are)throwing him f bombs.

The Knicks are saying a buyout isn't an option, so really Carmelo can force this pretty easily. He can come out and blast the Knicks and how they have handled this and force them to trade him where he wants because of his no trade clause. He doesn't have to waive his trade kicker to anywhere else and they essentially can't trade him anywhere (even if he agreed) because of the cap number he'd have. On the buyout front, he would count $18M per year against their cap for the next 3 anyway, which is barely less than what Anderson would cost them and basically the same if you do $18M + veteran minimum for anyone else.

As long as Melo says he won't relinquish his trade kicker to go anywhere, but Houston, and his buyout number is $45M+, the Knicks have basically no choice, but to either take Anderson and gain an asset or two in the process or find a 3rd team for Anderson and get no assets, but not tie up any real cap space.

The Knicks would be insane to stretch more than $45M over the next 3 years and still have to fill that spot. Minimum you are talking $50M for a vet minimum player for a bad team, so no ring chaser types, but just bottom of the barrel end of bench guys, instead of $60M for Ryan Anderson. Hell, even if Carmelo keeps his buyout $35M+ the Knicks would still have to essentially decide Ryan Anderson (and a 1st rounder) aren't worth, at most, an extra $6.5M a year over a veteran minimum guy. That would be very, very hard to believe.

Ball moved back to 50 yard line after too many penalties.

Seems like things only have one direction they can move on the thermometer - up.

I'm excited for this, and plan on chronicling my observations for all of you. Enjoy.

Looks like a carefully crafted media conspiracy to dilute whatever value Ryan has left so that NY can try to get better value from Melo's future trade. It's pretty obvious keeping Melo after the regular season starts will leave both sides in turmoil and can definitely further destroy Melo's value as well as keep the Knicks' front office looking dysfunctional as everyone thinks they are.

I don't doubt that if the GSW weren't dominating the Western Conference the Rockets would have already had another team to help facilitate a trade already. It's pretty funny how the Trail Blazers are looking to try to convince Melo that they have the same potential the Rockets have right now with their current roster.

I haven't heard anything about the Spurs recently but I figure Morey has already tried to include Aldridge into the Melo trade already. He's another player who's trying to get traded out of his current team too right?

The Spurs would never try and facilitate a Melo move to Houston.

Doesn't this start with the obvious question:

    - Which team(s) would be ok with taking on Ryno's contract?

There's more questions after that, but you have to start with that. Some potentials...

    - Milwaukee = needs more 3 point shooting
    - Detroit = fits around Drummond
    - Charlotte = fits around Dwight
    - Memphis = not really, except he might make sense adding some shooting to that offense that can be shooting starved and help overcome his defense liabilities
    - Minnesota =more three point shooting for a team that sucked at it

    Did I miss any?

    Here's a potential trade:

    Bucks trade: Delladova, Henson
Bucks receive: Ryno, Isiah Taylor, 2020 HOU first

Rockets trade: Ryno, Isiah Taylor, Quarterman, Long, Hartenstein
    Rockets receive: Melo

    Knicks trade: Melo
Knicks receive: Henson, Delladova, Quarterman, Long, Hartenstein

Why Milwaukee does it? They shot the 3 decently, but just didn't take a lot of them. Borgdon emerged at point and Giannis runs point. They don't need Delly anymore. They don't play Henson that much anyway, Anderson would take his minutes.

Why KNY does it? Delly is the "vet" PG to help with the french kid. Henson is still 26 and has always put up great per minute/possession stats that can fit next to Porzingis some. They don't save a ton of cap space, and in fact Henson makes $11 million declining to $9.7 million for the next 3 years and Delly $9.7 million flat each of the next three years.... but its split into two tradeable contracts at that point. You can move Delly at the trade deadline for example for expiring contracts to a contending team that perhaps wants a bench punch, as an example.

This new GM is gonna want to prove his worth so he'll probably try to extract an asset that Morey wouldn't give up in earlier talks ie..Gordon or Clint.
This deal won't get done until this guy feels like he made a difference.
