I'm sure you think so. After all none of the Disney Star Wars movies were as "important" or "diverse" (diverse being used in this instance to describe a movie with almost no diversity, but that's how the word is used these days) as Black Panther....and those things are the most important amirite? I'm as big a fan of MCU movies as the next person but to suggest that a middling at best MCU movie is superior to ANY of the Disney Star Wars movies....yikes.
Nobody is referring to Black Panther as diverse, what are u talking about? sounds like u made that up Important? Yes. Diverse? Who? When? Where?

I'm confused. I thought the movie was excellent which is why I watched it a second time in IMAX for an even better experience
I'm pretty sure I heard plenty about the new Star Wars films being diverse and especially a lot of rah rah women power with the female lead. It made money because it was star wars like they all do.
Fair enough, everyone's taste in movies is different. IMO it was a fairly mediocre Marvel movie with subpar CG and a the whole movie falls apart if you put any thought into it. That's just my opinion though. Now that's hilarious. "Every time someone brings up a legitimate point, here's the spin you use to get them to laugh at you"
Yes. . .we are. . . unfortunately Come on Bobby . . . .we know when you see all them beautiful black people are you see are _______________ Rocket River
I'm SHOCKED that Bobby isn't a fan of a movie that is being praised by nearly everyone that features a largely black cast and is beloved by the black community. Nothing about Black Panther would make me assume I'd find Bobby in here downplaying it. It doesn't have anything in common with all of his other "let me educate you about why you are wrong" hills he likes to die on.
if they’re referring to Black Panther bringing about more diversity in Hollywood due to the fact that a big budget superhero movie has black characters in leading roles then I agree
So I guess the 308 critics who gave the movie a positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes didn't really put any thought into it, huh? Lol, you're a troll in any forum.
I was wondering what I was missing and then realized the person was on my ignore list. There's a surprise. /sarcasm
If you take emotion and sense of pride out of the equation. Merely look at the movie objectively, it still stands up as a good marvel film. It’s hard to live up to pre release hype, and I feel it wasn’t a game changer as far as comic book movies go, it’s still highly entertaining and has some emotion in the film. I don’t care about it being a majority black cast or any other cultural significance associated with it. I thought it was a good portrayal of the comics and a really good movie.
I think of it as a game changer like DEADPOOL was a game changer Before DeadPool . .. R RATED Superhero COMIC MOVIES were not seen as viable (Esp not in Feb/Off season) After Deadpool. . . . you get LOGAN . . .and probably more coming Rocket River
You do realize Bobby has a "problem" with black and brown people? Go read his D&D post......and his Deshaun Watson post. Black Panther is his NIGHTMARE. He knows Black Panther is a good movie, but can't give it too much praise.
Yeah I can see that for sure. I’m still just looking at it just from a marvel film and where it stands. It holds its own against some of the top marvel films. I don’t like to get into all of the cultural aspects it brings. Just wanted to see an awesome movie and good interpretation of a cool character
