Why would he want to come here if he wants to leave the Spurs because he's not the main option?

The Spurs are like the patriots . If you can't be at your best while playing for them , you won't excel anywhere else . Strong veterans , pop, the system . If LA wants out of SA I do not want.

You at least have to test the waters. Can't be happy about the trade for Gasol.

If LMA left Portland because he didn't want to play second fiddle to Lillard, if he wants out from the SPURS because he's unsatisfied with his role, he's not going to be happy here.

Obviously you do your due diligence, but if the reports are even true (which I honestly kind of doubt), I don't think we're what he's looking for.

Yep. Harden would always outshine him and he'd start grumbling about it.

I think Hornets would make a lot of sense. They have some young players and there he can be the star of a franchise which it seems is his main priority.

If he couldn't accept Lillard becoming the #1 option, if he's having issues with Kawhi becoming the #1 option........

This thread is a little ridiculous and so are most of the responses.
Houston would absolutely go after him if they could. Just cuz it didn't work out with Howard doesn't mean they will give up bringing in another star.

It's just ridiculous cuz some are responding as if it wouldn't work for various reasons except the obvious, we absolutely stand no chance at trading for a player like Aldridge or anyone of his caliber, and that's going to be the case for a long period of time. We have no assets. I'm not saying I don't like our players, but they're locked in at a rate where we hope they work out with us, cuz they won't get us something better in return. Yes I know Capela has potential but again, he's more valuable to us than other teams. They're not THAT crazy about him.

And even if that wasn't enough, why would a team like the Spurs settle for trading with us when there are several teams with so much more to offer. Boston literally has enough assets to lure two stars that will want a change.

definitely won't fit here being third behind Harden and Dmo.

LMA is just trying to gain leverage to get traded to the GSW...where he can be the 7th option

I don't see the Spurs trading him within the division.

No way in hell the Spurs would trade him to their arch rival.

Harden and Lemarcus will not mesh well.

he's leaving because he wants to be the #1 option. same reason he left portland when they made lillard #1 instead of him... you think he would be ok with harden being #1? nope.

secondly, no way we have enough to get a deal done. boston has all those assets... clippers could swap blake if they feel he will opt out and leave this summer... lakers have young assets...orlando... phoenix... all have better assets to offer than us.
