What evidence do you have they are not legit injuries? 100k fine is nothing to an NBA team, however lying about injuries can result in an even bigger fine from the league as well as cost them their credibility. If they are just aiming to rest their guys they would come up with mild stuff like sore knee or exhaustion or back spasms....they won't say something like fractures which can be proven via Xray. In diagnoses like these som doctor has to sign on it, I doubt a doctor will put his name and livelihood at stake just to get KD 2 weeks of rest wtf
You can’t fake rib damage. Take it from me a guy who has served in the special forces and has had many rib and chest contusions over the years you can’t fake it. It is is painful and it even effects you”re breathing.
Or if you were a rockets fan during the Yao Ming era, just a normal season. For those wondering how you fracture cartilidge, the ribs aren't bone all the way around and they connect to the sternum by cartlidge. Blunt force trauma can fracture that connection and cause partial seperation. For those that think they are faking all of this... cool! I mean I think it's stupid to be so specific when the stomach flu can knock Eric Gordon out a week but sure, conspiracy. Honestly, I think it helps us if they are resting. It means that at some point on our upcoming homestand, we will have basically locked up HCA throughout the playoffs and we can rest guys as well down the stretch. Minimize their resting advantage and maximize our standings lead. Hopefully we won't be so specific. Wright has been out for forever because of "sore knees" so, let's just stick with the basics. If anything I would think the CF conspiracy theorists would be accusing the Worriers of creating a baked in excuse for when they lose to us #butdeminjuriesthough
The Rockets HAVE been doing this all season. Well, maybe not intentionally in every case, but their players have gotten plenty of rest. Mbah a Moute missed a month. Ariza missed nearly a month. EG missed several weeks(aside from appearing in the 3-point shootout). Ryno was just out for 3 weeks. CP3 missed the first month of the season. Even Harden has missed 8 games. Granted, those were legit injuries or illnesses in every situation, but don't tell me Ariza and CP3 needed to be out as long as they were. The Rockets let them rest because the team was rolling even without them. And more importantly, when these guys have played, they haven't had to log heavy minutes like in years past. Fatigue should not be an issue this postseason.
Broken ribs and pulled muscles in that area hurt like hell. "How you feeling?" "Only hurts when I breathe."
