    Kobe by a landslide.

Iverson's a very good player, but Kobe plays much better defense, and has very good size.

Pound for pound, Iverson's as good as anyone, but games aren't played hypothetically. Fact is that Iverson is only 6 ft tall, and prevents him from finishing layups in traffic.

Well, one is the ENTIRE focus of the defense, while the other doesn't even get the entire focus of the man guarding him, since he always has to worry about Shaq. Basically Iverson plays 1 on 5 while Bryant plays 1 on .5. It's not a very valid comparison.

I wasn't aware that Shaq played a role in Kobe's unstoppable fadeaway.

well the fact he can pass to shaq off the same move. . . while Iverson is pretty committed to the shot . ..

. . . and to Horry, or Fox, or . . . Iverson is a ball hog not only because the Sixers don't have any scorers, but because he doesn't care about anyone else beside himself.

The reason Iverson cannot win is precisely that: he is pretty committed to the shot.

I'd trade Iverson for Kobe any day.

Welcome to a Houston Rockets BBS.

To answer the question...I'd take Kobe in a heartbeat.

Iverson or Kobe...spinach or asparagus...rock or hard place...

I'd only pick one if forced at gun point...but don't quote me in case AI trolls here. ;)

What you have is SHAQ. No question that Shaq on the Mavs, Sixers, or Magic would still have the rings.

AI led his team to the Finals as the lone superstar on his team. IMO, Kobe cannot do that at this point in his career (perhaps in the future).

He did that in the Leastern Conference. You bet your ass Kobe can do that. Iverson theoretically might be as good as Kobe. The difference? Iverson is about as smart as a door knob. He refuses to realize that he actually needs a second scorer on the team and then whines when he does not have one.

Remember Stackhouse, Kukoc, Tim Thomas, and Larry Hughes? All pretty good scorers, but Practice' boy ran em all out.

well they are both good players, but I think that on the offensive AI is better because he can breakdown any team and get to the goal with little or no help from his team. Name a team that has ever been able to keep AI from scoring, not even kobe could do that. Now then kobe has more freedome to wonder around and be selective of his offensive contributions because of Shaquire O'neal. Kobe has a more difficult time getting to the goal when he has to be the main scorer.

Uhh.. Kobe being able to lead a team consisting of Snow, McKie, Mutombo, Bell, McCullough, etc to the finals is laughable... Give Kobe Stackhouse, Hughes, Kukoc or Thomas.. put them in the East.. they still wont win any rings

You are seriously overrating the East.

Kobe and those players you listed would destroy the East. Kobe would be the #1 player in the East, over T-Mac.
