I understand your POV and respect your opinion BUT JJ was a huge buyout signing. He's obviously not in game shape but he'll be ready to contribute come post season. He has proven to have the ability to put a team on his back and can still be a deadly scorer, come crunch time. I also believe Wright will be ready to contribute when it counts. The last 5 games he will get some burn and be ready when his name is called in the playoffs.
He is injury insurance. He has proven one thing in his NBA career, He can NOT be depended on. I’d be amazed If he has any sort of impact at all.
http://rocketswire.usatoday.com/201...t-could-miss-2-3-more-weeks-with-knee-injury/ Can we cut/waive him and pick up another worthy buyout candidate. Whats a waste of roster place for an insurance guy who ends up being the insured. Played one game and rest or injured for dont know how many games. We signed him to relieve capela nene and not just sit around getting paid. We are a team going all in baby.
High? How does that make me high? One had already been hurt most of the season and the other had not.... WTF
You’re right I was wrong about the games played but it’s not by much. Bogut played 25 and Wright has played 29.
Brandan Wright's durability was a concern tonight. We definitely could have used him in tonight's game against Toronto. Having Ryan Anderson (even though he is not a center) and Brandon Wright out with injuries really hurt up front. We got out-rebounded 42 to 36 and of those 42 rebounds, 12 were offensive rebounds.
our bigs got killed on both ends. capela looked like a p***y on way too many possessions, tucker's just too short to bang with 7 footers, and nene had his worst showing of the season. wright better be good to go at some point
He played one game for us and got injured in that game after 15 minutes. This is typical for Brandon Wright's career. He only played about 15 games last year for Memphis. I think he bumped knees. Per ESPN (Adam Wexler of KPRC-TV reports): Wright (knee) is expected to miss another 2-to-3 weeks. Spin: Wright will be missing a fifth straight game Wednesday and it appears he'll be in line for handful more absences while continuing to progress in his recovery from a right knee injury. If the 2-to-3 week timetable for a return holds true, Wright's earliest return would come March 22 against the Pistons, though this all depends on how his knee responds to his rehabilitation. Once cleared, Wright will likely play a fairly minor role off the bench in the frontcourt and should struggle to post fantasy worthy numbers.
So ppl on here crushed me when I said HOU should’ve signed Bogut over Wright bc if health issues. Yea i understand Bogut has had his fair share of injuries but Wright can’t play unless he’s in bubble wrap. Anyways, I said HOU should signed Bogut and y’all gave me crap about it and now look, I told y’all so.
"I told yo so" has to be the Shangri-La of all posts. To type, "I told you so", must feel like getting backdoor access into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. you did it. must feel good.
Bogut should've been signed long ago. Can't expect perfection but god what an obvious setup. In any case, D'Antoni wouldn't have played him anyway. Nene has won so much more on the court than Ryan Anderson(by FAR high +/- in far less playing time), and isn't even playable for D'Antoni.
told us what? if you told us then you told the entire professional basketball world bc bogut has been sitting at home all this time bc noone wants to sign him. nice try on trying to toot your own horn
Reminiscent of Astacio. Wright was a smaller acquisition, but they both flamed out quickly with no playoffs.
