Guess who's ranked highest on PER among rockets players?

    Greg Smith with PER near 28, and he's one of the top guys leading NBA for now. Granted it's early and he's playing few minutes, it's still a big improvement.

    At 21 years old, he could be eligible for the 2013 draft if stayed in college. Seeing the progress made by Smith and Morris, We should be optimistic about our future and be patient with DMO, White and Machado.

    Hopefully Morey the Wizard can get him locked down on a 3 yr $25mm backloaded contract since that's what we usually give scrubs who have a few good games.

    He's only played 70 minutes and he fouls far too frequently to get extended minutes or be an effective defender while he's on the floor. He's played alright, but I haven't seen anything yet from him to think he can be more than a nice bench player in short bursts.

    In regards to the setting screens thing that we talked about yesterday. Sampson actually addressed it saying that guys haven't been setting good screens and they need to get better at it. There is a video up on the Houston Rockets site where Sampson touches on it. It's a video off his interview at todays shoot around. Check it out if you are interested.

    Yes, he's played in limited minutes. His defensive numbers are pretty good though(not qualify for ranking due to small sample).

    Jeremy Lamb has probably the higest PER in history after one game where he logged a couple minutes and drained a 3 pointer.;)

    Please put Greg's season in the TSTS bucket. To Small to Sample. Or the NSS bucket. Not Statistically Significant. Or the IWOSIDTMAT bucket. It Was Odd So I Decided To Make A Thread.

    There's a lot of really good PGs. Hard to say Kyle's top 8 in the NBA. You can make a case it's just tough.

    Wade isn't a PG though. I would take Lowry over a lot of these guys. I would take Kyle over Kyrie, Ricky, Lawson, Jennings most definitely. Guys like Rose, Rondo, Deron & Westbrook it's kind of a toss up. I would take Kyle over Deron because Deron plays no defense & kyle is one of the better defenders at his position in the NBA.

    not to mention Holiday, Conley, Lillard and Felton. Lowrys not even a top 20 pg
