Training camp less than 48 hours away.

Hopefully the twin towers experiment work.

I really hope the early reports of Covington translate to live gameplay.

I know its going to be real tough for himself, Young, and Henriquez to beat out a proven veteran like Williams, Brooks, or Brewer given the fact that those guys know NBA defense very well, have probably run the same offensive sets many times before, and have the coaches trust.

However Covington, if he works out, has a certain fit that can be very useful for this. Hopefully he's developed enough to make enough of a difference.

-It might be a good move, as Clutch eluded to in an earlier article, for Morey to look at getting Greg Smith a shot at an Eastern Conference team if there is a trade out there. I think its the right thing to do for him, and the team. He's got alot of talent, but if they are really going to keep Asik this year, and they want someone else long term at the PF spot, I think its would be a good measure to send him to a team where he could flourish. I'd like to see him with the Bulls actually. I think he'd be a good fit there coming off their bench.

Hopefully NBATV will do one of those real training camp segments with the Rockets. I'd love to see these guys get at it in training camp.

I think I read somewhere that it will be Nets and Clippers this year.

A quick google search essentially confirms this, as NBA TV has Real Training Camp epidsodes on October 4th with both the Nets and Clippers lined up: http://areyouwatchingthis.com/tv/stations/nbatv-nba-tv

That's worth the price of admission all by itself.

Seriously, though, McHale is going to have a harder time, I think, this season at doling out minutes with the depth of this team. Oh, what a predicament to have.

Haha...a gif for the ages. I will always remember that historically long thread involving Ron Paul, the barber and Dwight Howard.

Yeah, I saw that. And earlier this summer, JLin had nice things to say about Casspi's play at their LA minicamp. Can't wait to see how the new guys do in training camp.

Really enjoying these Jason Friedman articles. Harden sounds all business. It's great.
