Morocco shat the bed twice now. Should've beaten Iran with ease and at least get a draw today versus Portugal. First team officially eliminated.

 

Morocco wasted a good game. I know finishing is tough but they had enough opportunities. The pressure got to them is what I believe.

 

I talked highly about them before the tournament because imo, Morocco and Senegal are the two best African teams in the tournament.
Morocco should have at least 2 points rather being out of the tournament, they just couldn't score a goal SMH. Dominated play vs Iran and Portugal. Lapse in concentration and that's it. Done.

 

I don't like this Iranian team -- stacking the def and playing for a draw is weak.

 

It's a loser tactic. You are literally playing to lose.

 

if Iran plays against Portugal like they did against Spain in the 2nd half they might have a chance to advance

 

Rumored Argy lineup for tomorrow vs Croatia. If this is true then I think Sampaoli might legit be trying to get himself sacked before they leave Russia...after the final group match.

 

Literally, you're playing not to lose. But it rarely works out that way.

Bad week for Morocco. 1st team eliminated with 2 straight losses and lose out on hosting in 2026.

Impressed by Australia. Limited talent but they show a lot of effort and really try to win instead of just going for a draw. Very unlucky against France, had Denmark on the ropes now. Still chances to advance.

 

France is so talented, Pogba and Mbappe out there just playing with Peru. Peru is playing well but you can tell the difference in talent.

 

Poor Peru has had so many chances to score in their first two games, but nothing is going in. The shot that went off of the corner post was particularly painful.

 

Another underwhelming performance by France. Not sure if that's who they are or they just wanna save some gas for the knockout stage.

 

Bummer. Peru played so well in the second half.

Argentina is in trouble right now. If they draw or lose to Croatia, things could escalate quickly.
