Is there are a more up and down player in the league than Gordon?! A guy who can look like an all-star one night and like a player who cannot dribble, shoot, make sound decisions nor play a lick of defense the next. Whatever it is, maybe it would help if he just changed his approach since that whiny throwing hands up in the air whenever he’s out of control or touched behaviour is not going to cut it. He looks pathetic and he better start to change soon.
He hasn't looked like an all-star at any point this season, though. Having a third guy that can play like an all-star is a requirement on any team with championship aspirations. He has to figure it out or we need to move him in December.
28, 25 ,67, 14, 6, 10 No. Those aren’t the winning power numbers. Those are Gordon’s FG%, 3P%, FT%, total rebounds, assists and turnovers. Totally worth that 4 year $76m extension.
Not only can we not trade him due to his extension....but nobody is even going to want him at this point.
Pathetic and Gordon cannot be moved, extension was not worth it. He provides spacing and can take it to the whole, is a decent defender, but not your third all-star guy on an already midget team.
Oh, I thought December was when extended players become eligible for trade. I'm probably wrong. I think another team would take a chance on him. 6th man veteran guards with huge range aren't a dime a dozen. A change of scenery might do him good, like it did coming here from New Orleans, where it also looked like he forgot how to play basketball at times.
People expecting Eric to be an all-star caliber player? He is what he is, an inconsistent 6th man scorer. Basically like Jamal Crawford used to be. You welcome his scoring off the bench, and the when he doesn’t have it going, he’s useless, because he doesn’t do anything else (rebound, assist, etc). I think Eric will eventually get it going. Dantoni just needs to quit forcing him in the starting lineup.
He will get his shot back at some point. The problem is it will disappear again at some point too. He can't be relied upon. When the playoffs start, maybe he will be shooting lights out and maybe he will contribute to bricking 28 threes in a row.
Another player outside dwert not having fun with harden? That can be the only possible explanation for his play
This is Harden’s team. If EG doesn’t have fun playing with Harden he should have asked for a trade instead of an extension. I think it has more to do with him just being a streaky shooter. He gets red hot and ice cold. So the season average looks good but some weeks are just terrible.
