That may be true -- kind of how Pau Gasol plays some C even though he's really a PF. Hopefully, eventually, we'll be able to land a bigger center and pair the two.

We have Dirk's protege? 40% from 3 and can move?

You do realize this guy is a 20 year old rookie?

Based on what you've said, if Kyrie Irving plays against Derrick Rose, won't he be crucified? If Derrick Williams played against LeBron James, won't he be crucified?

It's not very often rookies outplay most of the vets in the league anyway. Gotta give the kid time to build muscle.

Like our picks a lot, the future looks a lot brighter on rockets basketball after tonight. I'd say the rockets had one of the best draft nights in the league.

I love how Morey traded for Minnesota's #20 pick right before Portland at 21. They were probably gonna pick him.

David Andersen is slow, and uncoordinated. This guy is the real deal.

We need more players who are at their best without the ball.

This guy's skill set is not what we need.

He started every game of the '95 playoffs at PF and stayed there for pretty much the rest of his career.

Why does no one want a player who likes the ball in their hands?

His favorite player is Luis Scola.

We have offense coming out of our noses.

Martin, Lowry, Scola, Budinger, and (god willing) Yao... are all at their best when they're taking their fair share of shots... there's only one ball on the court, and we just drafted another dude whose entire game revolves around having the ball in his hands?

We needed baby Mutombo... we got baby Dirk.

He can shoot the spot up 3 without hesitation. He doesn't need the ball to be effective.

Um, that's the definition of needing the ball to be effective.

If you're gobbling up shot opportunities and not contributing on the glass or on D (or being mr. 'intangibles')... then you're not what the Rockets need right now.

Unless, of course, Morey is planning to jettison some other weapons.
