He is a good kid. If I am Rick Smith, I will definitely trade my 3rd and 4th picks away, so that we can make sure no one will bring weeds to the hotel and smoke with this kid.
What does your gut say? It has to be OB right? If he blows it this year his ass is on the street #YOLO
Robert Kraft will laugh so loud and hang up on you. And then after 5 mins, he will call back : hey, throw in Lebron and I will trade you Smart also and we have a deal.
McNair and Smith are Dumb and Dumber at an auction they have no business at and bidding against themselves.
Watson on #Texans trading up for him: "It was surreal. I couldn't really think about anything. I just started crying Deshaun Watson: 'It just came natural to me the way I was raised by my mother.' Deshaun Watson on his mother: 'I owe everything to her. Her birthday is Saturday. I'm going to spoil her for sure.' Watson says he owes everything to his mother, a cancer survivor. Saturday is her birthday. "I'm going to spoil her for sure." #Texans Deshaun Watson said he knew it was a possibility to go to Houston and that he is excited to play with fellow Clemson alum DeAndre Hopkins. Deshaun Watson called the moment he was drafted even better than the moment he won the national championship with Clemson because he finally is an NFL player. Deshaun Watson: 'I'm a confident player. I can do the things that a lot of people can't do. I can get the job done in pressure situations.' Watson says #Texans is the "right situation to be in" with offensive weapons and strong defense.
Work ethic, personality, leadership, stepping to a challenge... All of the strengths that define him from what I can tell seem to be in areas where they were disapointed with Osweiler last year. I haven't been following the draft that closely this year but he very much seems like the kind of guy BOB would like as a reaction to his nightmare year with Brock. Hopefully, he does't just introduce an entirely new series of ways to disapoint.
Texans will get 3-4 comp picks next year. I imagine they will move up if someone they like is in the 2nd round next year.
MIXED FEELINGS. But, let's face it. No one knows how these QB's will pan out. It's exciting to have a QB that MIGHT turn out to be really good. But, what really hurts is giving up a first in next years draft. If we had picked Watson at 25 I would have been much happier. But, I know Watson would have been gone by then so the Texans made the move. I'm wondering who the Texans really preferred between Mahomes and Watson? Something we will only be able to guess about. Let's hope it all works out.
