Would be great if we get our guys some rest like cp3. I’m glad Nene is resting a couple games. He will be needed in the playoffs for sure. The toughness he brings will be needed. Health is the most important part thing right now. To have everyone healthy by playoffs. Doubt cp3 would wanna sit a game against the clippers anyway. They have won 2 of 3 games and we need to get that game to stay ahead of the warriors. Maybe if the lakers had won. Lakers played very poorly. I think Kuzma didn’t played right? So the warriors won hoped they would lose and give us more space to rest our guys. They play the kings and suns and by the time they play the spurs they might have a few guys out. But hopefully the spurs can hold the lead this time and win.
I mostly like all of this except the Joe Johnson part. Curry getting him on a switch is a bigger, worse mismatch. It's harder to help on and the Rockets are not as athletic as GS so helping isn't as effective than from a stationary post position. If Joe Johnson plays they will spit roast his defense make no mistake about it.
Best thing about the playoffs is the pace slows down and it boils down to Defense and ISO. That's how Cleveland beat them and we can do it now too.
Cleveland also beat them by being aggressive with them. Roughing them up. And beating them on the boards. With GSW, you have to get physical with them. Beat them down.
You beat down Curry and you win. You have to pop him at every turn, make him slow down and think about the next elbow he might catch.
I think we will see a lot of "injuries" to sit out come closer to the end of the season, more so against the bad teams. Since coaches can no longer just sit players to rest them for the playoffs, they'll need an excuse.
