Yeah I mean, NYC hated losing so much they assembled a team that got smacked down by 20 pts. Unless you have Lebron James, it's never about one guy it's about your team as a whole, if half of your team is composed of guys in their prime and the other half is composed of players not in their prime how are you gonna win a ring? Your first half in their prime won't have somebody to push them over the top and by the time the second half reaches their prime the first half would be old and over the hill. Obv there's plenty of time for Porzingis to blossom but again like I said who will help him when he blossoms? Stars don't fall out in free agency often which is why guys like Dwight, Lebron, KG, Pau Gasol etc. spent a lot of seasons being the only stars in their team. Melo is also a good example of this, the Nuggets could've built around him when he was a rookie but they built around Billups instead and so Melo had no issues leaving for NYC when he reached FA because that Nuggs team was full of old and over the hill guys when he reached his prime.

LOL at CP3 getting all the credit for Blake Griffin, you do realize BG was the number 1 draft pick in his class and had Tim Duncan-like hype when he was drafted right? It's not like BG was some no-name that CP3 picked up off the streets, I'm sure Cp3 had a role in his development but at the same time BG is talented on his own and has assistant coaches helping work on his game and development. Lance Stephenson signing is a direct consequence of building around CP3 instead of BG, if they built a team around him instead of trading for CP3 they wouldn't need to get Lance Stephenson because they would've had lottery picks next to BG and De Andre Jordan. BG even did them a favor by getting injured 1 year so they could've collected another top pick, imagine LA could be rolling around with Paul George and Irving alongside BG and De Andre Jordan.

I think that's an important point. The Rockets can handle a high portion if missed 3pt shots with higher pace. Last season there were too many possessions of iso where it wasted the entire shot clock. If they can do that far less in this system than that will net a higher offensive output.
