Just another reason to hate Dallas...

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...-bad-mexican-food-and-no-csn-houston-at-home/

Between the basketball game and the nachos and the Mexican food, Chandler Parsons’ weekend trip to the Metroplex for the NCAA Tournament regional at Cowboys Stadium was one he would rather forget.

Parsons managed to choke down an order of nachos as his Florida Gators were routed Sunday afternoon by Michigan, 79-59, then adjourned to Dallas for dinner before his flight back to Houston.

By the time he got to the airport, he was feeling poorly, and by Monday he was so dehydrated from the effects of what he believed to be food poisoning that he said he required two units of intravenous fluids at an urgent care center.

He spent Monday in bed as the Rockets beat Orlando and took part Tuesday in some five-on-five and one-on-one and shooting drills, and he said he hopes to play tonight at Sacramento.

“I’m still kind of run down. Hopefully in another 24 hours I’ll be ready to go,” he said. “I wanted to play so bad (Monday night). I’m happy we got the win and everyone played well. It was probably the most sick I’ve been in my life. It was miserable.”

It didn’t help, he said, that the complex where he lives does not have access to Comcast SportsNet Houston, “so I couldn’t even get the game I was on my phone, tracking it and trying to keep up.”

Coach Kevin McHale launched some good-natured gibes at Parsons on Monday, suggesting his condition was due more to the Gators’ loss than his dietary intake.

“He’s still a little butt hurt about us beating Minnesota (McHale’s alma mater), so you can’t take seriously anything he said about that,” Parsons said. “We kinda joked about it. That’s the kind of guy he (McHale) is. He’s a funny guy.”

Welcome to the party, pal. =)

I had food poison once, and I had to write 10 page paper for my class...
I remembered I had a big head ache and was typing paper sitting on the toilet, but never report to hospital.
    Hope he's fully recovered.

Why? If he ate Manu's links he would've gone 8-10 from 3pt tomorrow.

Yeah! It's ok that it effects hundreds of thousands of people, but when poor baby Chandler Parsons can't watch games, then its a serious problem!

This always seems to happen around or close to playoffs with players. I would be very leary eating outside of Houston as a player.

My home medicine for this kind of situation is drink a log of hot Gatorade. Works every time for me and my family.
