False. Doesn’t matter if he’s traded to the worst team in the East. The incentive is “likely” (and thus included for matching purposes) throughout that season until it is over and the incentive is re-characterized as “unlikely”. (Also, I’m guessing the WCF incentive is worded in his contract as “conference finals” in case he’s ever traded to the East.)

    Clear enough for you, heyp?!

I doubt the Hornets get much of anything back for Batoum, He is paid 7mil more per yer than Anderson, and has a 27mil player option the year Anderson hits UFA. If Morey makes such a move, he's getting a second rounder or two back from Charlotte, you know how he loves his early second rounders.

The Hornets were open to trading Walker at the trade deadline if teams were willing to take Batum’s contract with him. It’s that bad. Getting out from Batum’s third year player option won’t be easy for them.

Yes, it won't be easy for them. If they want to move him, it's probably because they think he can't play well anymore, and not only to save money, I believe. Yes, it's possible that Batum could fit in better with the Rockets, however I think he is declining slowly. I'm not keen on seeing him in Houston. More information on Batum is in the link below.

After the CC signing, the team looks like this, (guaranteed contracts only)

    Centers
    CC
    IH
    Nene
    ZQ
    CO

    Power Forwards
    PJ
    RA
GC Exhibit 10. 1 yr guaranteed with switching over to a two way contract.

    Small Forwards
    GG
    JE
VE Exhibit 10. 1 yr guarantee with switching over to a two way contact

    Shooting Guards
    JH
    EG

    Point Guards
    CP
    MCW partially guaranteed

    Waiting Melton and Melo.

VE and GC will be sent to the G- Leagues on 2 way contracts.

There won't be any room for a 2 way contract for Deng Adel with Edwards and Clark on 2 way contracts.

The Rockets murdered the league when Harden, Paul, and Capela all started -- including going 3-2 vs the vaunted Warriors in the playoffs.

The NBA has to deal with this the next 4 years at least. And better stars and role players will continue to gravitate to this franchise. Good luck everyone else!

And leaving $40M on the table?

Nah. CP3 may be getting old, but he's not stupid.

Capela was well within the 60% FT range up until a significant drop off after March. Definitely doable for CC

How many lobs you think he'll get when CP3/Harden/Melo are on the floor. Melo better start working on those lobs soon

Capela's compensation w/likely incentives hit the cap: $15.3 mil, $16.4 mil, $17.5 mil, $18.6 mil and $19.7 mil

Those year to year cap numbers look quite nice! The LAST year of Capela's contract he will be making LESS than Anderson is making this season. SMH 2016.
