the thunder were actually fighting to make the playoffs. the rockets were trying too, but it was obvious which team wanted it more. that and the terrible refs helped them win it.

i was really looking forward to tying the mavs best record of 67, but i'll take 66 and a championship.

when ryno and ego replace nene and jj in the rotation for the playoffs... we'll be at another level.

If we really wanted to win Eric Gordon would have played. It will all pay off by playoff time.

Meanwhile the Warriors are 4-6 in their last 10. The Raptors 5-5 and the Blazers are 4-6.

    The Rockets? 8-2...

It is almost like the elite teams that have locked in their playoff seedlings are not playing as hard.

No it couldn’t be that... why would teams with nothing to play for not play as well as when they were fighting for seeding.

Good points. Also should be noted that the Warriors, (who have had injury issues and should be HYPER sensitive to injuries) are NOT resting their players. Thompson, Durant, Green are all getting 36+ minutes a night and the team has NOTHING to play for except "rhythm."

No question that the teams that are playing with "desperation" have an edge on the teams just playing to "stay in rhythm."

I do not agree that there's nothing to play for. We're playing teams that we could face in the first round. Seeding is still up in the air. If we can avoid a certain team in the first round, we should do it so to not expend a lot of energy. I'd MUCH rather face Denver who is probably just happy to make the playoffs than a still-dangerous Spurs or OKC team in the first round, and let the Warriors and Blazers deal with those teams. And it would've been nice had we not let OKC believe they could win on our home floor.

While I would have liked the Rox to finished up the season thumping Spurs and Thunder in order to stay sharp for playoffs, I'm not concerned with this season's Rox, as long as they take good health into and throughout the playoffs.

maybe because having the best regular season record means jackshit in the playoffs

we're still seeing the same bad habits from Harden that made us to lose the Spurs last playoffs
