Eifert was one of my favorite players at one point, but he's been forced into 2 seperate back surgeries. Basically, he has a chronic bad back. That isn't a particularly recoverable prognosis. I'd love to take a cheap flier as a potential wildcard, but counting on him at all to play would be foolish.
Yes, that's why I don't want the Texans giving up multiple picks to move up in this draft. We need all the picks we can get.
The QB makes the TE and the receivers. NE won the Super Bowl without Gronk. Texans had the best offense in the NFL with basically no TE.
