Maybe ego injury is a blessing in disguise if it gets harkless here because he can start. He will have to come off the bench for just about every other contender
I can't say I blame him in the slightest. The guy has been on losing teams for a LONG time. If the best team in the league wants you, I think you owe it to yourself to jump on the opportunity to win a ring.

Marvin Williams would have been a nice addition, so this news sucks. If Maurice Harkless gets bought out by the Knicks, he should be the top target for Morey. I also like the idea of taking a flyer on Jonah Bolden, Kyle O’Quinn or even Michael Kidd-Gilchrist simply for his defense.
I think we need a center starter like bogut to play around 10 to 15 mins, other time are for small ball. It can secure 1st half will not lose a lot of rebounds and play for small ball for the remaining minutes. Then our rebounds will not lose a lot. We can sign I Thomas for westbrooks backup. he has eastern final experience. he is just for backup when westbrooks take rest during back to back game. Unluckily, there are no kanter type center for buyout this year.
If my calculation is correct, the Rockets have lost to all Western teams with losing records with the exception of Minnesota. Today, we are a game away from OKC. Come on, let's face it, no player cut by another team is going to change this! Honestly, I believe that MDA cannot continue to lead this team.
Rockets can offer Harkless a starting position. Lakers not so much. Money should be negligible if trying to showcase for big contract. Rockets system will pad his stats.
Not to mention the lack of draft picks between now and ever .... I'll take a reclamation project on a cheap contract for the rest of the season - If he doesn't fit or sucks he can take Nene's spot on the bench waiting for next years deadline , moved for luxury tax savings or just get cut.
