Enrique Hernandez at AAA this year. 1 games at 1b 26 games at 2b 14 games at 3b 12 games at SS 2 games at LF 1 games at CF 11 games at RF 4 games at DH Sounds like Marwin on speed
This is awesome, very excited to see Domingo & I like the move to call up Kike. I feel there's a good chance he'll stick
Guessing Fowler goes DL to open spot for Domingo. Margo becomes the starting SS and Kike take Margo's backup IF spot. Chapman takes Williams's spot in the bullpen. Anthony Bass should be up soon as well, so there will more roster juggling next week or so.
Astros a little more aggresive calling up Santana than I expected. Astros have a lot of feast or famine guys.
Better than a lot of famine and famine guys. I always figured Santana would get a call-up sooner rather than later, mainly because he's already on the 40 man roster and all it would take is an injury to an OF (which apparently has happened with Fowler). Plus, you can't discount the season he's having at AAA. If he ultimately fails, he can always be sent back down to figure more stuff out (provided there are suitable replacement options ready to try). I guess they really do only wake Reid up for the important meetings...
Fantastic! I will be curious to see if they put Fowler on the DL as well. It would be retroactive to Friday, correct?
I was being polite. Springer is really the only one feasting at a somewhat regular pace. Singleton needs more time.
Sure... but they can't ever get adjusted to the big leagues if they don't get to the big leagues. The difference between triple A and the majors likely exceeds the difference between triple A and HS baseball (considering everything... competition, lifestyle, money/per-diem, life on the road, traveling accommodations, work environment, stadiums...)
