1) wade should be 1st team over kobe 2) lebron had more 1st team all-nba votes than rose and yet rose was MVP? how does that work? 3) blake griffin should be on there on 3rd team purely b/c he was a beast statistically
I would have voted: 1st Team: G - Rose G - Bryant F - James F - Nowitzki C - Howard 2nd Team: G - Wade G - Paul F - Durant F - Randolph C - Gasol 3rd Team: G - Westbrook G - Ginobili F - Aldridge F - Griffin C - Stoudemire
Well..since voting is position based. A lebron supporter may have voted for both him and Wade, taking away from rose? That scenario's certainly plausible.
Kendrick Perkins and Bargani got more votes than Scola???.....Amazin!!!...Again these voting panels are a joke.....
The Lifetime Achievement schtick continues for Kobe.... And can we merge the two competing All-NBA threads?
i think i would have gone with something like... 1st Team: G- Rose G- Wade F- Durant F- James C- Howard 2nd Team: G- Paul G- Bryant F- Nowitzki F- Randolph C- Stoudemire 3rd Team: G- Westbrook G- Ginobili F- Aldridge F- Gasol C-Horford
It's pretty difficult to come up with a scenario where Kobe > Wade this year, since Wade had far better numbers and his team finished with a better record (he arguably had less help too with really only two other guys, but that is debatable). Luckily for Kobe stans, the media pundits who vote on this "honor" are just as clueless and/or biased as the coaches who vote on all-D.
Dirk not making it over Durant is also bad. Statistically, Dirk actually had the best case for MVP given how poorly his team played in his absence. I think that the 2007 debacle is still leaving an inaccurate impression in the minds of these clueless media whores.
