    The notion that we have bases in Korea, Japan, Europe, Saudi Arabia etc because we are doing them a favor is absurd. We have bases all over the world because it serves our interests & desire of being a global hegemon. The idea that we are spending so much in the military because our allies are not spending enough and somehow taking advantage of us is even dumber.

    Mr. Trump is proving to be incredibly ignorant, and when he is called out for saying something patently wrong, the man just digs in his heels and refuses to admit his error. This guy is supposed to be President of the freakin' United States of America. Instead, he is an embarrassment to the nation, and a danger to the system of alliances that have proved their worth for over 70 years.
