Solid 10-man rotation. In the Spurs' system, that's a playoff contender.

And knowing SA, they could turn that #25 pick into something great.

 

The Spurs are not going to help the Lakers form a super team in the Western Conference. Not when they can get comparable offers from Boston or Philadelphia. Or maybe even the Knicks, if they are willing to put Porzingis on the table.

 

why go for just the 25th pick? when they can get philly's 10th pick, or boston's lotto picks for next season (from sacto and memphis), or sacto #2 pick, or clippers #12 AND 13?

 

I was just wondering what the depth chart would look like, if the Spurs dealt with the Lakers. Obviously, anything the Lakers could put together would be trumped by an offer from the East.

I think LeBron goes to LA, but I could see him agreeing to be traded here for a year (after opting-in), defeating the Goliath, then going to LA the next to save that franchise. He'd be older, but the Lakers would have more pieces to add support. I think you'd also have an idea by then if Walton is really going to be your guy.

Kawhi holds a lot of cards right now.

 

I don't think that fits their goals but if they have to punt a year may be.

I think that's because he 's here from less time, posted things by just a year pretty much...i think his first post was in the random thread ideas when he said the Spurs were looking to dump Danny Green's contract last summer (or it was two years ago? Not sure now lol)...and btw, after he posted this, Jabari Young tweeted the same few hours later or the day after.

It's true though, ch has been money every time he said something, i guess he's pretty deep into the business. We're very lucky to have him here anyway.

 

ch44 doesn't post as much. So that makes a difference. I wish they posted more, tbh. Really great input.

 

I hope the rumor is true. If our insider has had a good track record so far than I'm starting to feel good about this.
