Perhaps he has drawn that conclusion based on your screen name? That is the kind of reasoning that dumb people would use.
typical persecution complex >makes a blanket statment that good players dont get traded with 1st round picks "THATS ALL." >someone points out that Dragic was traded with a 1st round pick >OHHHHH YU PROTECTIN YA BOY LIN LOF FANBOY YOLO lmao what a joke
While Lin might be motivated to play well against his former team, don't rule out the chance bev might be just as motivated to make a point too. I can't imagine how many millions of nasty tweets lins groupies sent bev last season.
shouldnt we be assessing players values at the time of.the trade at that time, brooks was already proven to be good (he started and performed in the playoffs) just coming off an injury and was displaced by lowry while dragic hasnt proven anything yet phoenix paid to get brooks rockets paid to get rid of lin
I want to make sure i'm reading the correctly... are you saying.. a) while dragic hasn't proven anything yet or b) while dragic hadn't proven anything yet Really hoping you mean't (b).. T_Man
Comparison to the Brooks trade makes no sense. Brooks was coming off a 20ppg season where he was the MIP. I am pretty sure Sergei Lishchuk will never come close to anything resembling what Brooks has accomplished. Just because you're traded along with a 1st round pick doesn't mean you suck. Andrew Wiggins is traded with a 1st round pick and I'm sure the Rockets wouldn't mind him. Traded w/ a 1st for NOTHING is a whole different story.
Brooks was also MIP in the previous year. At that time most of the CF'ers were pissed by the trade IIRC. Completely different than attach a pick to get rid of Lin for nothing in return.
and before LOFs again blame Lin's contract why no one wanted him without getting a pick in return, please don't forget me Spoiler

Jeremy, Shut these LOFs up and tell em who's fault it is <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/coCuOjGnTAY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Um, this board wasn't unhappy about the Brooks trade, DaDakota maybe, but the general feeling i remember was increasing disgust at Adelman for playing Brooks and general amazement that Morey swindled Phoenix.
You guys are vicious... I mean Knicks fans were ruthless when Lin departed... But you are vicious, I believe this was also how you felt toward Lowry and Dragic when they were still here, only had a change of heart once you saw for yourselves they became stars. You reap what you sow. Prepare to be disappointed yet again of another great PG you decided to dump. Mark my words: - Lin will drop 35 pts on Beverley's and Harden's ass in LA. - Lin will drop 5 30-pt games in October and November alone. - Lin averages 25ppg by end of November, to go with 8apg. - Lin selected to All Star (by coaches) to bench, averaging 22ppg and 8apg at the break. - Lin will shoot 50FG%, 41 3PT%, and 86 FT%... close to 50-40-90 club You all will be soul searching all season. And of course, you need someone as goat to blame every game, it's poor Bev. He can't hide behind Lin anymore... at least Lin provided scoring at PG position when his sorry ass sat down. Now when he goes, "**** I can't score for **** tonight, please bail me out, backup PG" turns to Canaan??? Prepare to be soul searching.
The thing is every Rocket makes bone-headed plays. Tell me you don't curse the TV every time you see Dwight get stripped while dribbling into the paint, a jacked up 3 when a sure 2 pointer was available underneath or James lets some scrub drive past him for an easy 2. Heck, it drives me nuts when Bev overplays on D and he gets picked on the play.We focus on Lin because he's polarizing.
Oh this, refs were supposed to call out of bounds when Mo Williams... stepped out of bounds. Now Lin is gone, who are you vicious people gonna rip to shreds every game when things don't go your way? I guess it's I-can't-score-for-**** Bev.
