By fewest assumptions, perhaps it means something nobody would expect. Melo is something we would expect. I'm thinking Bosh, Rondo, Love, or maybe even Ryan Anderson..
Fewest Assumptions is not about the least thought about thing. It's more, "If all these things happen, then this scenario will happen" is too many assumptions whereas "If this one thing happens, this scenario will happen" kind of thing. AKA the simple choice instead of over thinking it by playing a "what if" game with several different scenarios
I don't know how I didn't see this 4 is also the amount of letters in bosh, And bosh had been in Miami for 4 years and rockets could sign him for 4 years playing the the 4 in our lineup. Clutch u need to realese an article now 4 the people. The numbers are clear
No need to be an ass about it.. Was going based off of the fact that Bosh used to wear number 4. He could wear it here. Canaan has 1..
Already wearing the Rockets colors....multiple sources confirm Ramon to Rockets and throwback uni's coming back...
I feel like the Occam Razor is some guy coming up with a douchebag way of saying "use your common sense."
I used Occam's Razor in a post earlier today in the "Carmelo Anthony has Chicago and Houston as frontrunners" thread. I'll have to go back and find my exact post, but I basically said that Melo is coming here because of Occam's Razor, ie. it makes the most sense and requires the fewest assumptions. Now I'm not saying I should get credit for anything lol, but you have to admit it's a pretty obscure reference and it's possible he could be hinting at my post as a clue that others may have not picked up on.
Yesterday, 01:52 PM #3642 "He'll come to Houston. It's just too easy if a decision. Occam's Razor" This was my exact post in that other thread, well before Doc's tweet.
Melo coming to Houston will definitely require less/easier FO moves than if he comes to Chicago. For that much I agree with your theory. Having said that, the situation is still too complicated for us to truly understand (La La's preference, compatibility with Harden vs. with DRose, willingness to play the 4 AND defend vs. staying at the 3 in CHI, perception of McHale vs. Thibs, confidence in Rose's knees, etc.) I still believe Melo prefers us over Chicago, but all this news about Pau has me thinking he would rather just stay in NYC. In addition, the rumor that we are trying to pry away Bosh has me convinced that our own FO isn't as confident as they were with Dwight. Anything is possible and the landscape changes by the hour
Heard la la say she loves the city, and melo couldn't be more happier. Guys this rockets team is Blasting offffffffffff
I think it's fair to say that he would rather stay in New York, but only if he feels like he can win there. He can't win with the current roster. If another allstar comes to New York Melo is as good as resigned. So far, nothing.
