That certainly was not "LOL" material.

Not for the fans of the Bobcats, but for the rest of the world it is.

Greg Oden still has a huge impact to this very day.

given Jordan's track record of drafting, they'd probably boo anything

Would've taken Noel. But i really like Zeller. Didn't expect him to go this early though.

Well when the comissioner calls upon your team to select a draft prospect you choose a player not named Ben McLemore ;)

I don't know why, and as a preface, it certainly won't rise to the level that Watt has produced, but I semi-sorta agree with this on a diminished scale. Zeller had a so-so year this past year at IU, but remember, at the beginning of the season, he was a LOCK for a top-3 pick and many had him going #1 overall. It's funny what a so-so season can do to a guy's stock and image among the fans.

Further, I think he's going to be able to play stretch 4 for them as well as 5. He didn't shoot a ton of mid-range jumpers in college, but that's because he didn't have to - he was strictly a center at IU. He's a good rebounder as well, not to mention that he's a huge character guy with a non-stop motor and high basketball IQ. Lastly, he runs the floor extremely well for a kid his size and has Steve Clifford as his new HC, the same Steve Clifford that helped develop guys like Dwight Howard, Ryan Anderson and Earl Clark.

Comparison wise, I've seen him from one spectrum to another: a player as good as LaMarcus Aldridge all the way "down" to a 'poor man's' Tyler Hansbrough. I think he's closer to LMA than Hansbrough. Not saying he rises to the level of Aldridge, but I could see him becoming a 17-18 pt. scorer and a double digit rebounder. I could also be eating crow here in a few years...only time will tell.

Bobcats fans are probably just mad, because they're expecting a home run with every single draft pick.

With Zeller, it might take him until next season, or two seasons from now, for him to really shine. Unfortunately, with a franchise like the Bobcats...with every franchise, really, they don't want to be mired in another season of mediocrity.

Zeller was the most athletic center of the draft if you are talking about vertical. He is underrated athletically by fans cause he is white. Remind you of anyone (jj watt)
