With our luck, watch the Spurs decide tonight is when they stop losing games, adding another loss for us. The easy games we lost in the fall (the ones to the Wizards, Warriors, Bobcats, Raptors) and those 11 in January from the long losing streak have come back to haunt us.
I said we lost our shot at the playoffs after the loss at Philly, but if we lose tonight I will officially throw in the towel
Oh, I was over here celebrating that the game would actually be on broadcast tv for once--I didn't realize that some people would miss out as a result. While I can empathize, I'm glad that I won't have to search through problematic internet streams tonight! Also, I think it's a shame that you have to have some paid service (cable or leaguepass) to watch your own city's basketball team! What are all the poor kids supposed to do? If it was like this when I was growing up, I would've missed all but a small handful of games; in fact, I probably would've never even gotten into the Rockets...
Memphis plays NOH so someone has to lose tonight so the Rockets need to win. Also though the Spurs need a win also being on a 5 game win streak and only two games ahead of the Lakers now...great.
Indeed, they are going to be out for blood, trying to put a halt to their losing streak...I think I saw an article somewhere that if they lose tonight, it'll be the first time they had a 6 game losing streak since 1997? They are going to be motivated. Glad it's a home game, and they guys had a few day's rest.....
but, one of them has to win. the blazers get to play a spurs team with no ginobili, parker or duncan while we get the spurs team with them back. just our luck.
Do or die time. To be honest, a few months ago, I had given up all hope of a Playoff spot. Rockets should be firing on all cylinders tonight.
