kings tried that before... but they finally give up... we can do that if we want to bluid a team fighting seed 8 every year...
Is this the right forum? This is Clutchfans right? KMart puts up more points and is more efficient than anyone else on the Rockets. If I hadn't have read the thread title I would think you guys were talking about Ariza as badly as he's being trashed here. Keep it up Kevin, you have a few real fans here in Houston.
1/3/11 Martin: 8pts 2rebs 2assists 3-15FG 1-1FT 3TO 0ST 0BLK 24MIN Carmelo(team leader in pts, rebs, assists): 33pts 11rebs 5assists 10-25FG 13-14FT 3TO 0ST 1BLK 40MIN
On a 3 game sample, Melo is better than Martin. Wow. Who would have thought that! This is called a slump.
Really? The Kings had players the caliber of Chauncey Billups, Nene, Kenyon Martin, JR Smith, etc. around Kevin Martin?
You just don't know how to read, do you? In fact I have written that post with a hidden agenda. I am a secret Martin fan. So secret, it's obvious.
No he isn't a superstar.....he really isn't even close in my opinion. He's far too one dimensional and prone to disappearing acts for that title.
this thread shouldn't have been bumped. he's a good player but he's just not a superstar. aint nothin wrong with that. he's still a valuable piece to this team imo.
I didn't quite know where to put this and I can't start a new thread yet, but here goes. Not quite super star worthy numbers, but the stats for clutch shooting at 82games show that he's not as bad as we think in late game situations. He's shooting 50% and averaging 40.8 points per 48 minutes in clutch spots.
I knew his 4th quarter numbers wre good, it is just hard to tell. I still beleive with the right players around him, he could put up superstar numbers.
In honor of my man KevMart's western conference player of the week, I officially resurrect this thread. More evidence: 1) Still no 1 in the NBA in scoring per 48 minutes (so it wasn't just luck or a hot streak) 2) No. 9 or 10 in scoring (look at the guys he shares that list with) 3) No 1 in total free throws made 4) He's topping his already legendary career efficiency stats 5) He considers himself #3 among league shooting guards, behind Kobe and Wade 6) He's doing the intangibles omg omg omg 7) I thought he was supposed to not be good in the 4th quarter and clutch situations? ummmm.... 8) I thought he was too injury-prone? ..... Off-topic-ish: How crazy is it that 3 veteran Rockets players are having serious career years, by large margins- Kevin, Chuck ! ! ! !, and Lowry. Way off-topic- WTH are those media guys that have been fighting each other in 2 or 3 of the recent locker-room interviews? Are they aware that their p***y dou***bag-ness is being recorded and broadcast on the internet? whiny voice/"Do not ever touch me! Do you understand? Never put your hands on me!"/whiny voice
lol, in the latest Lowry interview, I think he pwns those reporters... http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2011/03/10/ZOOM0001MOV-1586306/index.html
It happened a few times, here's one: http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2011/02/26/CBud022611MOV-1573111
LOL thanks...wtf...funny that they left that in there on rockets.com. Do we know who these b****ing reporters are? Any chance "Bill the Rocket Guy" is in the mix?
