This is almost 4 times the size of his original study. However what a shitshow this doctor is. This is like Forsynthia from Contagion .wow.
Somehow the Sweden model also worked to an extent. Had high numbers in the beginning but curve flattened now, no real lockdown. Some still went skiing. https://www.themayor.eu/en/standing-out-swedens-approach-to-dealing-with-the-coronavirus-pandemic
It's a valid point. A lot of the third world has more resilient immunity due to tubercolosis and other diseases that cause cytokine storms... you can find healthy people who never had the disease with tubercolosis in their system, but the system knows how to handle it so they have no symptoms. Genetic markers adjust each generation to previous turmoil. covid is just another bacteria, one of trillions, but the human system doesn't yet know how to handle it so weaker immune systems starts attacking it's own organs and things get bad from there. Exceptions are clean countries with a ton of common sense and manufacturing facilities in house (don't rely on supply chain starting in Asia). Germany is really dealing with it well as a result.
"Sweden said it would keep schools open, a decision made in the same day that testing in Stockholm was restricted to the sick and elderly." I guess this also partly explains the low numbers.
This time he did with Zpack medication , all 80 patients in study was hospitalized 79 alive ,one died. After 8 days 93% have no virus left in them. If this is true, it’s quite significant results.
The confirmed cases number for any country are pretty suspect since testing has been very spotty and vary from country to country. The only statistically significant numbers unfortunately are deaths and serious cases(requires hospitalization), and only segmented by age since seniors are more susceptible which is why Italy has such a high number of deaths. They have the second oldest population in the world. What's really surprising to me is how Japan hasn't been harder hit than it has been.
China and Italy aren't exactly considered the cleanest countries. Japan and Switzerland both are considered extremely clean, and they are on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Another issue: A local hospital has two inpatient coronavirus cases and a third that is highly likely. The public doesn't know this. The hospital doesn't want them to know this because they're largely keeping services ongoing (circumcisions for older kids, ear tubes, cataract surgery on a newborn, etc.). For whatever reason, some idiot has decided these cases should be housed in two separate ICUs, exposing double the staff and patient population. On top of all of that, this system has developed its own private test, this (I believe) exempting it from disclosing it's cases. As far as the community knows, we have 8 county cases with one person hospitalized. That person is at a different hospital than what I'm talking about. So you're telling me, of the right cases, three are hospitalized? Doubt it. Especially considering 6 of the 8 are younger than 50, with most being between 25 and 35.
Japan consists of islands, and has no mainland border to hot spots, or any countries. They have that going for them. Those that are infected were mainly from cruise ships. Key would be shutting down all or majority of incoming flights.
Yep. It's more like the flu, in that it's a virus, with (likely) many strains. Even if we develop a vaccine, new strains may emerge, and the vaccine probably won't be effective against them all. Much like the yearly flu vaccine.
But theyre so dense. Once one person gets infected, it would likely spread like wildfire on any of their islands.
How do you know who has recovered if there are no tests. All these numbers are bull **** since there is a shortage of tests. Like I said before, the only number that is statistically significant is deaths and serious illness. Everything else is just a guess.
