who said that? the point is to rely on them in the regular season so you don't exhaust the guys you do need to rely on in the postseason.

no to mention that if you play them in the regular season, they might very well become players you can rely on in the postseason.

or they'll develop trade value to help land that "useful vet".

what's up with some of these cats who think we can magically acquire "useful vets" without having any assets to trade for them?

these young guys certainly won't get any better rotting on the bench.

exactly. i don't know what the future holds for these players even if they get consistent playing time in the regular season, but i do know based on past history that overworking our starters in the regular season leads to tired players in the playoffs.

This bench is painfully thin and cannot be how its gonna be for much longer. the rockets have guys that are banged up and literally guys who are on the bench that either aren't trusted or even playable

I still believe the Rockets have solid bench players, but they lack a true difference maker like other contending teams. When you penny pinch, your expectations cannot be very high.

    All about consistency and abilities.

If you take out Giannis, the Bucks are as good or even better at times. Giannis brings another dimension to an already stacked team.

It is no coincidence that the Bucks took a huge step forward when they brought in a much better and more innovative coach who maximized the players on the roster with good offensive and defensive schemes.

The Rockets are stuck with “shots just weren’t falling” and “go small” and “more threes”.

50% of our bench are unplayable or deemed to be unplayable by MDA. That number goes higher whenever Gordon is unavailable.

It's time to tryout some veterans currently sitting on a couch. Bring Young and JR Smith and see if they can help us.

Both online is we need a shakedown to try to improve this bench.

We have yet to replace Ariza and Mbate at the F spot. Until we do, we are not contenders. House, Rivers, Thabo, MCW, Ennis, Melo, none of those guys could do it. We HAVE to find that 3/4 guy that can help us. Trying to find that vet min cheap guy is not cutting it anymore if you serious about a title. Gonna have to trade or spend to get him. Try Jeff Green he is out there. Prob better than the other guys we have now.
