Depending on House and McLemore in the Playoffs is Already a Joke.

I was wishing my dad long-distance Merry Christmas when he asked me, “Don’t the Rockets play today?” I told him it was a trap game, the Rockets’ fourth road game in 7 days, against a team with a bad record, the kind of game I worry about more than when they play a contender.

Sure enough.

I can chalk some of this up to being tired, but like the Texans’ loss to the Broncos, if you had a head coach who didn’t tolerate lackadaisical bulls**t, you wouldn’t get so much of this.

 

McLemore wouldn't be playing on such a cheap contract if his shooting was consistent. He's a good fill-in for Eric Gordon and nothing more. If teams are going to keep doubling Harden you need someone who can shoot and make plays for others - that's Gordon, not McLemore.

If Morey could replace House with Robert Covington or Andre Iguodala right now I'm sure he would.

 

We needed EG & GG today...House continuously struggles against the Warriors, and evidently so does McLemore

Trade for Redick. With him and Gordon, teams will pay for doubling Harden, and we can really get creative with small ball lineups.

 

yup this team needs another good 3pt shooter, we shoot a lot of 3s but dont have any great 3pt shooters. Tucker is great from the side but thats it. The rest is so inconsistent. If Gordon comes back to like he is and somehow get someone else like a Reddick or the player from the Wizards (forgot his name lol) then those double team plans wont work for other teams.

 

House and McLemore are fine. All they’re asked to do is sit and watch them shoot the occasional 3. What do you expect?

Problem is coaching. Clear as day. It won’t change with MDA.

 

that's the game, which our energy just not there, take it easy. we'll be ok in regular season, we will be a postseason team.

 

Come playoffs... We will depend on Harden, Westbrick, Gordon, Capela and DanToni.

Any help outside those 5 will be greatly welcomed.

We need a consistent shooter to burn teams when they double Harden. Mclemore is streaky and House has never been a consistent outside shooter.

 

We’ve been saying that since the Harden era started.....

Ben McLemore has already given us more than anybody expected

House isn’t really starter quality, but he’s the best we’ve got unless y’all want to go back to midget ball with EG once he’s back who gets like 2 rebounds in 30 minutes of game time

I would like to know what you expect him to do with limited draft picks because his owner used some to get rid of Anderson and then Knight;

An owner that would not go into the luxury tax to take on traceable salaries or use the majority of the MLE;

Very few salaries to move...

So Morey must bring in multiple rotation pieces making less than approximately 5 million, only use a single #1 and likely avoid the luxury tax.

Yet Morey needs to get to work?

 

They need more dawgs. They could use another player or two like Ariza and Beverley. Grinders that show up and contribute in someway no matter what. They need a 4/5 that can run and defend well enough.

It will take incredible luck and hard work by Morey to add what the Rockets need because the owner has put them behind the 8-ball.
