They played well against the good QB’s... probably better than they played against the bad ones.

they get up for games against better opponents (minus the Ravens), play down to the competition every other game.

they’re also closer to being good vs several years ago because they have a franchise QB and a legit O-line. If you refuse to acknowledge that, not sure any version of this team (other than greatest team ever status) will get you supportive.

 

It's just frustrating to know that winning the AFC South and getting knocked out in the wildcard or divisional round is this team's ceiling.

Explain why only 20 seconds? NFL playclock is 40 seconds from previous play. How would it only have been 20 seconds. Two knees would have run out the clock exactly.

80 seconds just on play clocks on two downs would have ended the game considering it takes a few seconds just to take a knee.

Or just have Deshaun run around behind the line and then take a knee to kill the additional time if any. The Bucs has no reason to get the ball back at all.

 

Yep....87 seconds and three plays with the Bucs having one time out. The only way they lose that game is with a turnover or poor clock management (aided by potential penalties) where the Bucs got the ball back. Granted it was a long shot but it could have been a no shot. O'Brien screwed up with not just kneeling. That cannot be denied.

 

Kneel the ball 3 times then have Deshaun chuck up in the air on 4th down to kill whatever time is left. This isnt that hard

By calling plays they opened themselves to a potential turnover or penalty that stops the clock

 

He might be bad at game management, but he is good at having his team prepared week in and week out. He may be totalitarian, but he gets results. They may have lost some games because of mismanagement of the clock, but they still get very good records by season end. Last year they won 11 games, this year they’ve won 10 and could make it 11 against the Titans.

I get it that BOB is not the players coach. He’s a salty individual by the way he presents himself. But winning can’t be denied. BOB makes boneheaded mistakes, let’s hope he reduces that and continues to improve as a HC.

 

This I totally disagree with. We are one of the most up and down teams in the league. We win a big game they don’t show up the next. We start slower than any team in the league. We have 0 tds on opening possession drives all year!!

Beat the Pats then lose to Drew Lock???
Beat the Chargers (good win at the time) come home and lose to Kyle Allen..
Beat the Chiefs lose to the Colts.

Not to mention we played like trash against the Jaguars in week 2, and got lucky they missed the 2 pt conversion.

And we got steamrolled by the Ravens.

I like romeo ability to compensate the sht offense even though, hes working with depleted, aging lineup.

U figured with so much investment on offense, BoB wouldnt have to rely so much on Defense, but its the same song and dance every season w/ him relyin on Romeo's d to bail him out.

 

Well he does get u wins in regular season, cant deny that. But no way he prepares his team for the game, we always come out sluggish and shtty the first quarter. We got sht on in the Ravens and Broncos, cause it look like he didnt prepare the team whatsoever.

Idk y its such a struggle to score on the first quarter. Thats gonna b a huge issue during playoffs.

 

Did anyone watch the game?
The Texans secondary got burnt several times and the Bucs couldn’t convert. There was one with a few minutes left with the score 20-20 that would have put the Bucs ahead late that Jameis over threw. Had the Texans lost, the sentiment would have been completely different.

The Ravens are a team who comes to play every game, it sure as hell isnt the Texans.

Kubiak syndrome perhaps? Developed a great offensive scheme which eventually became predictable. Maybe like Kubiak he refuses to change it up, and or just doesn't have the ability to think outside of the box in real time.

 

Nfc is stacked as fk, especially the division rams r in. I figure the man would fare better in the Afc. Where theres more pretenders than contenders.
