If I'm not hungry I will get an ICEE. They have lots of different flavors. If I'm a little hungry I will add on some white chocolate covered pretzels. If I actually want to eat, I add a BBQ sandwich.
I worked at two different Bucees. A small one in LC and the big one in Madisonville (when it opened). Did not enjoy it - although I did meet the Mrs there. I avoided the place for years, but now with kids it is a good place to stop for a potty break. I buy nothing because it's all a sugary shortcut to the grave.
When I was a kid, it was all about Stuckey's. We used to always make a stop there and my mom would buy me a toy. Usually some fake barf or dog poop. Sadly, my sense of humor hasn't evolved much over the last 30 years and my kids seem to have inherited it.
Oh man I miss Czech Stop kolaches I like Buc-ee’s brisket and egg breakfast tacos. Their coffee is surprisingly mediocre however. My kids of course love the beaver nuggets as they are pure syrupy sugar. Reading this thread however it appears there are lots of other things I should try. But I always stop there on the way to SA or Dallas.
That is very true. Had to dump it out once it was so burned and bad. Very surprising because they take great effort in everything else they have fresh over there.
did you know you can "customize" your bbq sandwich there? I personally prefer brisket over chopped, and more on the fatty moist cut of brisket. Just tell them and they'll give you any cut of brisket for you and make you a bbq sandwich from scratch.
Good news for any other Texans living in Colorado. Bucee's will be opening their first location in the state, after the first Whataburger opens soon https://www.coloradoan.com/story/ne...-mega-chain-location-johnstown-co/6706575001/
When the whole family went to Disney World this past Christmas, we passed by quite a few of Buc-ees in Georgia. I remember my best friend telling me about them and I was somewhat curious to want to stop and just see what the big fuss was about but we never really thought about stopping at one of them. I guess the next time we go to WDW, I will have to make a point to try to get us to stop at one.
