Are the Texans the minor league team for the Seahawks? Man I just read how Hopkins was praising how great the Seahawks are, after he was pissed off about the can’t have the prisoners running the prison comment.

Dwayne Brown, Clowney, is Hopkins next?

    SMH!!!!

@FTW Rockets FTW rolling over in his grave right now. How can there be a Texans thread on the GARM for 5 days with no mention of eggball, fake tough guys, and ****** JJ Fatt?

My general impression as well. Making one wonder...why? Salary dump seems to be the answer.

If you look at it holistically, it makes more sense. While this trade looks pretty bad...overall they got rid of Clowner, but gained a much needed upgrade at offensive tackle. Is that what they needed the salary for? If so, that makes more sense. Basically a three team trade, but conducted as 2 different 2 way trades.

I’m not craping on the fans but like you said it’s poor choices or poorly ran teams which I couldn’t agree more ! But as far as easier to attend there are baseball and basketball games on Sunday too and cheaper !

The Texans have one of the highest (perhaps the highest?) remaining capspace in all of football. Without the Clowney trade they still would've had more capspace than they need. They had so much capspace they paid the Seahaws $7mil just for the hell of it. In comparison to Cal McNair, Fertilla is a god damn saint when it comes to spending on the team. But NFL fans don't hate McNair nearly as much cause they don't really think

Never thought I'd see so much solid insight about the Texans in the Rockets forum.

Thank u for pointing this out..the clowney trade had nothing to do with getting tunsil...its wasnt a either or...it was a **** up letting clowney go for peanuts...when if u didnt believe in him u should of traded him like the Seahawks did clark before he couldnt sign an extension reducing his value. The tunsil thing was just face saving...n on top they gave up way to much

They could of kept clowney n even if he left got a 3rd pick anyways for free. So it made no sense to do what they did. It was just a epic bungle. One like the Tony boselli pick

The Astros must have been angry with the trade and took it out on the Mariners this weekend.
