I agree. I thought the reports were all BS until I spoke to someone connected to TF.

Lol at the NBPA thing. He's a NBPA rep when it suits him in getting a max, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took a sizable paycut to go to the Lakers.

saying FA's rejected houston is not called whining genius. that's simply stating what has happened.

if i said why tf arent so and so playing for houston and that they should of taken less to play here is whining. spare me your attempt at a lecture.

Even if he was RIGHT, he was done. CP3 is a hard-headed dude. Once the Clippers' big 3 began to sour, he went into a funk there as well. So regardless of whether he was right, keeping him would have just created a weirder vibe than we already had.

NOBODY wants to go to Oklahoma. I'll bet their governor's mansion is in Colorado. :D

I mean it’s not as if CP3 was a model teammate in LA. Remember when he and Rivers had it out for one another? Or when there were rumors of him and Blake not getting along? Harden’s no saint but CP3 has been and probably still is a crybaby. We’ve just forgotten it because he was a Rocket the past two years

I'm gonna cling hard to @topfive's spin because I got nothing else to make me feel good about this transaction, and I don't want to drink.

The majority of the people here said giving CP3 that contract was a mistake, even the ones rooting for him to succeed.

Now we just got out of that mistake and improved our roster.

Whatever's the case, I think even the people who disagree will have to accept reality.

We're all in now and Russ and Harden will play until their primes end on the Rockets. They're both 30 btw.

Yeah, Morey pretty much pulled off the impossible here.

My only concern is that our next first-round draft pick isn't until 2037.

We do not know that he wanted out. Im sorry but Im gonna need to see more proof that James and Chris "hated each other." I dont believe it. I refuse to believe that Vincent Goodwill crap was right.

I'm wondering if this is it.

I would think that he's smart enough to look ahead and realize that he can influence the team's playing style and swing it back to where it was the year before. I can't really imagine a scenario where he thought he would be going to a team that had a decent chance of winning the championship. Given that realization, you would think he would want to stay and fix things rather than abandoning ship.

The only other thing I can think of is that he had absolutely no idea he was getting traded.

Maybe he just likes getting his way when there's a dispute. And this time he learned that this is Harden's team and Harden's opinion counts more.

Yeah... Whatever the mechanism was, I think the underlying cause was "ego".

Luckily, we won't have to worry about that with Westbrook :)
